RefWorksHow to export & import citations from the LexisNexis Academic database
NOTE: Accessing the NEW Display
• Once you log into your account, in the top right corner is a link for the new RefWorks- RefWorks 2.0
• Click on it to start using the new display
• RefWorks remembers which version (Classic or 2.0) you selected and will load that verison in future logins
• To switch back to the Classic version, click on the RefWorks Classic link in the upper right corner

• Perform your search in LexisNexis Academic

• Find an article, and click on it’s title

• Click on the icon of an open book, located in the upper right corner under the search box

• Select the resource(s) you wish to import into RefWorks
• Click Export

• Beware of your browser’s pop-up blocker. It may block your RefWorks confirmation screen and stop exporting your citation(s).
• Click on the yellow bar and choose to allow pop-ups from the database
• Click here for instructions on how to allow pop-ups in your browser from certain websites
How to Allow Pop-ups from RefWorks

• If you have not logged into RefWorks, you will now be prompted to login in.
• If you are already signed in, then a screen appears to confirm your citation has been saved.

• To look at the citation just imported, click View Last Imported
