On behalf of the Environmental, Health & Safety Communications Panel (EHSCP) it is my pleasure to invite you to attend the 2016 Environmental, Health & Safety Communications Panel (EHSCP) Symposium to be held September 13 - 15, 2016 at the Lexus Club @ PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The annual symposium is hosted this year by Crown Castle.
The agenda is being prepared with a wide variety of environmental, health and safety topics related directly to the communications industry. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to meet, share, and learn from the experiences of other EHS professionals who deal with the same challenges you face every day.

The professional development program has been organized by the Program Committee, co-chaired by Lynn Alpaugh from AT&T and Greg Myka from Verizon. Brian Wiedower from Sprint is coordinating the symposium sponsorship efforts.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
GENERAL SYMPOSIUM INFORMATION Early registration is $495.00 (US currency) if payment is received by Wednesday, August 31, 2016. After August 31, 2016 the regular registration fee is $595.00 (US currency).
The early registration date will be strictly enforced.
The registration fee will entitle you to the following:
Admission to the Symposium (2½ day industry specific agenda with environmental, health & safety topics, including “break out” sessions specific to environmental issues and safety issues)
Lunch for the first two days Refreshments each day Optional networking gathering on Monday evening Welcoming reception on Tuesday evening
Wednesday evening event, a river cruise on the Ohio, Monongahela and Allegheny rivers featuring a Casino night, entertainment, and dinner and drinks aboard ship.
Symposium Check-In
A Symposium check-in desk will be open from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Monday, September 12th in the lobby of the SpringHill Suites Pittsburgh North Shore. On Tuesday morning, September 13th, the Symposium check-in desk will be open at 7:30 AM outside the meeting space in the Lexus Club at PNC Park.
Dress Standard
Dress will be business casual for all symposium meeting activities. Casual dress for the Wednesday evening event (indoors and outdoors) is suggested, so plan according to the weather forecast. September weather in Pittsburgh can range from warm during the day to cool at night. A jacket is recommended for Tuesday and Wednesday evening activities.
You will be provided an EHSCP Symposium badge at check-in. Please wear this badge to identify yourself at all symposium events.
Monday, September 12th
SoHo
An optional networking evening is scheduled for SoHo, located adjacent to the hotel lobby from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Hor d’oeuvres will be provided and a full menu is available for purchase. There is also a wide range of restaurants within walking distance of SoHo and the hotel. http://www.soho-pittsburgh.com
Tuesday, September 13th
The welcoming reception is scheduled for Tuesday evening at McFadden’s Saloon. McFaddon’s is a short walk from the hotel and shuttle service is available from the hotel lobby. The reception is a great opportunity to renew existing professional contacts and make new ones. Refreshments and hor d’oeuvres will be served between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

Wednesday, September 14th
On Wednesday evening a ship from the Gateway Clipper fleet will pick us up along the river-walk by PNC Park and take us on a cruise of Pittsburgh’s three rivers. Networking opportunities will be plentiful aboard ship in between eating, a Casino night, and other entertainment. At the end of the evening, the ship will return us to PNC Park. Casual dress is recommended. September weather in the Pittsburgh area, based on the averages, ranges from highs in the upper 70’s to lows in the mid to low 50’s so check the weather forecast before departing for the symposium. Remember, it is generally cooler on the water. Indoor and outdoor decks will be open, weather permitting. Relax, network, and have fun.
If you are a paid registrant to the symposium, this event is included in the registration fee. If you wish to have a guest accompany you for this outing, the fee is $95.00 per guest for the cruise.

The negotiated EHSCP Symposium room rate is $159.00 per night.

Dining –The area around PNC and the SpringHill Suites offers a wide variety of dining experiences within a two block area. From neighborhood eateries and pubs to local chains, you won’t go away hungry.
Sports – Pittsburgh is home to the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins as well as the
Steelers and Pirates. The Pirates have a home game at 1:35 pm on the Sunday prior to the symposium. They’ll be playing the Cincinnati Reds. If you stick around after the symposium, the Steelers coincidentally will be playing the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, September 18.
