Important noticePlease check to see if anyproblems you have encounteredwith your phone are describedin this section, before taking thephone in for service or calling aservice representative.

1. Phone memory

When available space on your

phone memory is less than 10%,your phone cannot receive a newmessage. You need to check yourphone memory and delete somedata such as applications ormessages to make more memoryavailable.

To manage the application

On the home screen, touchApplicationstab and selectSettings>Applications>Manage applications.

When all applicationsappear, scroll and selectthe application you want touninstall.

Tap Uninstalland touch OK touninstall the application youdesired.

After uninstalling theapplication, turn off andreboot your phone.

2. Optimising Battery Life

You can extend your battery'slife by turning off features thatyou don't need to run constantlyin the background. You can also

monitor how applications andsystem resources consumebattery power.

To extend the life of yourbattery

- Turn off radio communications

that you aren't using. If youaren't using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, orGPS, turn them off.

- Turn down screen brightnessand set a shorter screentimeout.

- Turn off automatic syncingfor Google Mail, Calendar,Contacts, and otherapplications.

- Some applications youvedownloaded may cause your

batterys life to be reduced.

To check the battery charge

levelOn the home screen, touchApplicationstab and selectSettings>Applications>Manage applications.

The battery status (charging,

discharging) and level (as apercentage of fully charged)are displayed at the top of thescreen.

To monitor and control whatuses the battery

On the home screen, touchApplicationstab and selectSettings> About phone>Battery use.

The top of the screendisplays battery usage time.Either how long since lastconnected to a power sourceor, if connected to a powersource, how long you werelast running on battery power.The body of the screen listsapplications or services using

3. Installing an OpenSource OS

If you install an open sourceOS on your phone, and do notuse the OS provided by themanufacturer, this may cause

your phone to malfunction.

WARNING:If you install anduse an OS other than the oneprovided by the manufacturer,your phone is no longer covered

by the warranty.

WARNING:To protect yourphone and personal data,

download applications onlyfrom trusted sources, suchas Android Market. If someapplications are not properlyinstalled on your phone, yourphone may not work correctlyor a serious error could occur.

You will need to uninstall thoseapplications and all of its dataand settings from the phone.

4. Using Unlock pattern

Set unlock pattern to secure your

phone. Opens a set of screensthat guide you through drawing ascreen unlock pattern.

On the home screen, touchApplications tab and selectSettings> Location & security>

Set up screen lock>

Pattern.

Follow the screens to be guidedthrough drawing a screen unlockpattern. Select OK to continue tonext screen.

WARNING:Precautionsto take when using the

Pattern Lock. It is veryimportant that you rememberthe unlock pattern you set.You have 5 opportunities toenter your unlock Pattern,PIN or Password. If you haveused all 5 opportunities, you

may attempt again after 30seconds. When you cantrecall your unlock Pattern,PIN, or Password: perform ahard reset

Caution: If you perform a hardreset, all user applications anduser data will be deleted. Pleaseremember to back up anyimportant data before performinga hard reset.

Turn the power off.Press and hold for over 10seconds: End key + Send key+ Down volume key.

When the power turns on,release these keys.

5. Using Safe Mode andHard Reset

Using Safe mode* To recover the phone from any

malfunction

Turn off your phone andreboot. While your phone ispowering back on, press and

hold the Send key while theAndroid Logo is displayed.Your phone will boot all theway to the main screen anddisplay "safe mode" in thelower left-hand corner.

* Using Hard Reset (FactoryReset)If it does not restore to itsoriginal state, use Hard Resettoinitialise your phone.If user turns on the phone bypressing and holding End Key

+ Send Key + Down volumekey at the same time (for 10seconds), the phone will turnon and perform hard resetimmediately.Please note, after you perform

the Hard Reset, all your dataand applications on your phonewill be erased and cannot be

reversed.

WARNINGIf you perform a Hard Reset,all user applications anduser data will be deleted.

Please remember to back upany important data beforeperforming a Hard Reset.

6. Connecting to Wi-Finetworks

To use Wi-Fi on your phone,you access a wireless accesspoint, or hotspot. Some accesspoints are open and you cansimply connect to them. Othersare hidden or implement othersecurity features, so you must

configure your phone so it canconnect to them.

Turn off Wi-Fi when you're notusing it, to extend the life of yourbattery.

To turn Wi-Fi on and connect toa Wi-Fi network

On the home screen, touchApplicationstab and selectSettings > Wireless &networks > Wi-Fi settings.

Touch Wi-Fito turn it on andbegin scan for available Wi-Finetworks.

- List of available Wi-Fi networksis displayed. Secured networksare indicated by a lock icon.

Touch a network to connectto it.

- If the network is open, youare prompted to confirm thatyou want to connect to thatnetwork by touching Connect.

- If the network is secured,you're prompted to entera password or othercredentials. (Ask your networkadministrator for details.)

The Status bar displays iconsthat indicate Wi-Fi status.

7. Using a micro SD card

Pictures, along with Music and

Video files, can only be saved toexternal memory.

Before using the built-in camera,you need to insert a micro SDmemory card to your phone first.

Without inserting a memory

card, you will not be able to savepictures and video you havetaken.

WARNING:Do not insert or remove

the memory card when thephone is on. Otherwise, it maydamage the memory card aswell as your phone, and thedata stored on the memorycard may be corrupted. Toremove the memory card safely,

please select Home Screen> Applications > Settings >SD Card & phone storage >Unmount SD card.

8. Opening and SwitchingApplications

Multi-tasking is easy withAndroid because openapplications keep runningeven when you open anotherapplication. Theres no needto quit an application beforeopening another. Use andswitch among several openapplications. Android manageseach application, stopping andstarting them as needed, toensure that idle applicationsdont consume resources

unnecessarily.To stop the application you use

On the home screen, touchApplicationstab and selectSettings>Applications>Manage applications >Tap

on Running.Scroll to the desiredapplication and touch Forcestopto stop using it.

SD CardThe LG PC Suite IV is a programthat helps you connect yourmobile phone to a PC usinga USB data communicationcable, so that you can use the

functions of the mobile phone onyour PC.

Synchronise data between aPC and a phone (Contacts,Calendar, Message(SMS),Bookmark, Calllog).

Installing LG PC Suite from yourmicro SD memory card

Insert your micro SD memorycard on your phone. (It may

already be inserted on yourphone.)

Before connecting the USBdata cable, make sure thatthe Mass storage onlymodeis enabled on your phone.(On the applications menu,choose Settings > SD card& phone storage, then selectMass storage onlycheckbox.)

In the status bar, drag theUSB icon.

Choose USB Connected andTurn On USB storage.

You can view the massstorage content on your PCand transfer the files.

Copy the LG PC Suite IV

folder on your mass storageto your PC.

Run LGInstaller.exe fileon your PC and follow theinstructions.

* When LG PC Suite IV installation

is completed, disable Massstorage only mode to run LG PCSuite IV.

NOTE:Please do not removeor delete other program fi lesinstalled on your memory card.

This may cause damage to yourpreinstalled applications on thephone.

10. Connecting yourphone to a computer

via USBNOTE:To synchronise your phonevia USB cable with your PC, youneed to install the LG PC Suiteprogram on your PC. You candownload this program fromthe LG website (www.lg.com).Go to http://www.lg.com andselect your region, country &language. Visit LG website formore information. As PC Suite isembedded at inboxed SD card,you can simply copy it to your PC.

Use the USB cable withyour phone to connect thephone to a USB port on yourcomputer. You receive anotification that the USB isconnected.

Open the Notification drawerand touch USB connected.

Touch "Turn On USB storage"to confirm that you want totransfer files between yourphones micro SD card andthe computer.

When the phone is connected asUSB storage, you will receive a

notification. Your phones microSD card is mounted as a driveon your computer. You can nowcopy files to and from the microSD card.

11. Unlock screen whenusing data connection

Your display will go dark ifuntouched for a period of timewhen using data connection. Toturn on your LCD screen, just

touch it.

Note:When uninstalling PCSuite IV, USB and BluetoothDrivers are not automaticallyremoved. Therefore, they mustbe uninstalled manually.

Tip!To use a micro SD card onyour phone again, you need toopen the Notifi cation drawer andtouch "Turn off USB storage".

During this time, you cantaccess the micro SD card fromyour phone, so you cant useapplications that rely on themicro SD card, such as Camera,

Gallery and Music.To disconnect your phone fromthe computer, carefully followyour computers instructionsto disconnect USB devicescorrectly, to avoid losing

information on the card.Safely disconnect the USBdevice on your computer.

Open the Notification drawerand touch Turn off USBstorage.

12. Hold phone up rightPlease hold the mobile phone upright as a regular phone.

While making/receiving calls orsending/receiving data, try toavoid holding the lower part ofthe phone where the antenna islocated. It may affect call quality.

13. When Screen freezes

If the phone does not respond touser input or the screen freezes:

Remove the battery, insert itagain and turn the phone on.If it still does not work, pleasecontact the service centre.

14. Do not connect your

phone when turningyour PC on/off

Make sure to disconnect yourphone and PC via data cable asyour PC might have errors.

How to save music/videofiles to the phone

Connect your phone to the PCusing the USB cable.

Touch and drag down the statusbar on the home screen. SelectUSB connected> Turn on USBstorage> Open folder to view

files.If you didn't install LG AndroidPlatform Driver on your PC, youneed to set it manually. ChooseApplication > Settings > SDcard & phone storage > activate

Mass storage only.For more information, refer to'Transferring files using massstorage devices'.

Save music or video files fromthe PC to the phone's removable

storage.- You may copy or move files

from the PC to the phone'sremovable storage using a cardreader.

- If there is a video file with asubtitle file (.smi or .srt file withthe same name as the videofile), place them in the samefolder to display the subtitleautomatically when playing thevideo file.

- When downloading music orvideo files, copyright must

be secured. Please note thata corrupted file or file with awrong extension may causedamage to the phone.

How to move thecontacts from the old

phone to the currentphone

Export your contacts as a CSVfile from your old phone to thePC using a PC sync program.

Download LG PC Suite IV at

www.lg.com and install it inthe PC. Run the program andconnect your phone to the PCusing the USB cable.

Select the Contactsicon. Goto Menu> File> Importand

select the CSV file saved inthe PC.

If the fields in the importedCSV file are different from theones in LG PC Suite IV, youneed to map the fields. After

mapping the fields, click OK.Then, the contacts are addedto the PC.

If the connection of LG-P350phone (using the USB cable)is detected by LG PC SuiteIV, click "Sync" or "SyncContacts" to synchronise thecontacts saved in the PC toyour phone and save them.

How to send data from

your phone via BluetoothSending data via Bluetooth:You can send data via Bluetoothby running a correspondingapplication, not from Bluetoothmenu, unlike regular mobile

phones.* Sending pictures:Run the

Gallery application and selectPicture> Menu. Click Shareand select Bluetooth> CheckIf Bluetooth is turned on and

select Scan for devices>Choose the device you want tosend data from the list.

* Exporting contacts:Run theContacts application. Touchthe address you want to exportto. Press Menuand SelectShare> Bluetooth> Checkif Bluetooth is turned on andselect Scan for devices>Choose the device you want tosend data from the list.

* Sending multi-selectedcontacts:Run the "Contacts"application. To Select morethan one contact press Menukey and touch Multiselect.Select the contacts you want

to send or press Menukeyand touch Select all. SelectShare> Bluetooth> Checkif Bluetooth is turned on andselect Scan for devices>Choose the device you want to

send data from the list.* Connecting to FTP (Only the

FTP server is supported onthis handset):Select "Settings"> "Wireless & networks" >"Bluetooth settings". Then,

select the "Discoverable"checkbox and search for otherdevices. Find the service youwant and connect to the FTPserver.

TIP:The version is Bluetooth 2.1EDR and certified by BluetoothSIG. It is compatible with otherBluetooth SIG certified devices.

- If you want to search for thisphone from other devices,go to "Settings" > "Wireless& networks" > "Bluetoothsettings".

Then, select the "Discoverable"

checkbox.

The checkbox is cleared after120 seconds.

- Supported profiles are HFP,HSP, OPP, PBAP (server), FTP(server), A2DP, AVRCP, andDUN.

Getting to know your phoneTo turn the phone on, press and hold the Power key for 3 seconds.

To turn the phone off, press the Power key for 3 seconds and touch PowerOff.

- Returns to the homescreen from anyscreen.

Menu key

- Check what optionsare available.

- Returns to the previousscreen.

Search key

- Search the web andcontents in yourphone.

Power/Lock key

- Powers your phoneon/off by pressing andholding the key.

- Turns the screen offand locks the phone.

WARNING:Placing a heavy object on the phone or sitting on itcan damage its LCD and touch-screen functionalities.

Tip!Press Menu key whenever you tap an application to check whatoptions are available.

Tip!If LG-P350 has errors when you use it or you cannot turn it on,remove battery, install it again and turn it on after 5 seconds.

Installing the SIM cardand battery

Before you can start exploringyour new phone, youll need toset it up. To insert the SIM cardand battery:

To remove the back cover,hold the phone firmly in your

hand. With your other hand,firmly press your thumbon the back cover. Lift offthe battery cover with yourforefinger.

Slide the SIM card into theSIM card holder. Make surethe gold contact area on thecard is facing downwards.

Insert the battery into placeby aligning the gold contactson the phone and the battery.

Replace the back cover of thephone.

Charging your phone

Slide back the cover of the

charger connector on the sideof your LG-P350. Insert thecharger, and plug it into anelectrical outlet. Your LG-P350must be charged until you cansee .

NOTE:The battery must be initiallyfully charged to improve batterylifetime.

NOTE:The LG-P350 has aninternal antenna. Be careful notto scratch or damage this reararea, as this will cause loss ofperformance.

Installing the memorycard

To store multimedia files suchas captured images by using abuilt-in camera, you must inserta memory card to your phone.

NOTE:The LG-P350 supports upto a 32GB memory card.

To insert a memory card:Turn the phone off beforeinserting or removing thememory card. Remove theback cover.

1Insert the memory cardinto the slot. Make sure thegold contact area is facingdownwards.

Do not insert or remove thememory card when the phoneis on. Otherwise, it maydamage the memory card aswell as your phone, and thedata stored on the memorycard may be corrupted.

Formatting the memorycard

Your memory card may already

be formatted. If it isnt, you mustformat it before you can use it.

NOTE:All fi les on the card aredeleted when you format thecard.

On the home screen, touchtheApplicationstab to openthe applications menu.

Scroll and touch Settings.

Scroll and touch SD card &phone storage.

Unmount SD card.

Touch Format SD card, then

confirm your choice.If you set the pattern lock,input the pattern lock andselect Erase Everything.Thecard will then be formattedand ready to use.

NOTE:If there is content on yourmemory card, the folder structuremay be different after formattingsince all the fi les will have beendeleted.

Tip!

If your memory card is alreadyUnmounted, you can use thefollowing step to format it.TouchApplications > Settings> SD card & phone storage >Format SD Card.

Touch-screen tips

Here are some tips on how to

navigate around your phone.Touch -To choose a menu/option or open an application,touch it.

Touch and hold -To open anoptions menu or grab an object

you want to move, touch andhold it.

Drag -To scroll through a listor move slowly, drag across thetouch-screen.

Flick -To scroll through a list or

move quickly, flick across thetouch-screen (drag quickly andrelease).

Note

To select an item, touch thecentre of the icon.

Do not press too hard; thetouch-screen is sensitiveenough to pick up a light, firmtouch.

Use the tip of your finger totouch the option you want. Becareful not to touch any otherkeys.

Lock your phone

When you are not using LG-P350, press the end key to lockyour phone. This helps prevent

accidental presses and savesbattery power.

Also, if you do not use the phonefor a while, the home screen orother screen you are viewing isreplaced with the lock screen to

conserve the battery.- If there are any programs

running when you set thepattern, they may be stillrunning in lock mode. It isrecommended to exit all

programs before enteringthe lock mode to avoidunnecessary charges. (e.g.phone call, web access anddata communications).

Setting unlock pattern:You candraw your own unlock pattern byconnecting four or more dots.

If you set a pattern, the phone'sscreen is locked. To unlock thephone, draw the pattern you seton the screen.

Caution:If there are more than 5pattern drawing errors in a row,you cannot unlock the phone.

Whenever your LG-P350 is notin use, it will return to the lockscreen. Drag your finger from left

to right to unlock the screen.

Silent Mode

From Notification drawer, touch

to be or if you don't usean unlock pattern, simply dragto the right.

To wake up your phone, pressEndkey. The lock screen willappear. Touch the lock icon anddrag your finger to the right tounlock your home screen. Thelast screen you were workingon opens.

Simply swipe your finger to theleft or right to view them.You can also customise eachpanel with widgets, shortcuts,

which are shortcuts to yourfavourite applications, foldersand wallpapers.

Touch theApplicationstabat the bottom of the screen. Youcan then view all your installedapplications.

Touch the Messageicon toaccess the messaging menu.

Getting to know the viewfinder

Colour effect Choose a colour tone for your new photo. Once youvemade your selection, use the Back key to close the colour tone menu.

Using the advancedsettings

Image size Touch to set thesize (in pixels) of the pictureyou take. Select a pixel valuefrom the numerical options: 3M(2048x1536), 2M (1600x1200),1M (1280x960), VGA (640x480),

QVGA (320x240).ISO The ISO rating determinesthe sensitivity of the cameraslight sensor. The higher the ISO,the more sensitive the camerawill be. This is useful underdarker conditions when youcannot use the flash. Select fromISO values ofAuto, 400,200and100.

White balance Choose fromAuto, Incandescent, Sunny,Fluorescent, and Cloudy.

Timer The self-timer allowsyou to set a delay after theshutter is pressed. Select Off,3 seconds, 5 seconds, or 10seconds. This is ideal if you wantto be included in a photo.

Image quality Choose fromSuper fine, Fine, and Normal.The finer the quality, the sharper

the photo. However, the file sizewill increase as a result, whichmeans youll be able to storefewer photos in the memory.

Auto review If you set Autoreview on, it will show you the

picture you have just takenautomatically.

Shutter sound Select one ofthe four shutter sounds.

Tag location Activate to useyour phones location-based

services. Take pictures whereveryou are and tag them with thelocation. If you upload taggedpictures to a blog that supportsgeotagging, you can see thepictures displayed on a map.

You can tune into radio stations

Press the Menukey and
