I. Product DescriptionThe LGX ML200 is a compact, low-profile, and fanless enclosure engineered for use with the Intel DN2800MT “Marshall-town” Thin-ITX mainboard. The enclosure is constructed from durable steel with an anodized aluminum extrusion top. Cooling is provided by a solid aluminum thermal block that keeps the system cool for an operating environment temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The ML200 provides access to a broad range of I/O, including two additional serial ports off the front panel via mainboard’s pin headers, antenna jacks for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cards, front panel USB for a total of six USB ports, and a P4 power connector mount for alternative power configurations.

The case includes mounting brackets with DIN-rail hole layout, HDD tray, and secure cabling for connecting storage devices.

III. Basic Chassis Assembly1) Insert plastic film for mainboard (H) into bottom of chassis

2) Prep the mainboard by removing OEM heat sink.

3) Install four plastic support posts (D) from bottom side of board. Install three plastic spacer washers (G) only on the plastic posts shown in the picture below. Apply small dot of thermal paste (F) onto CPU. Be sure to mix paste well in package before applying.

4) Install thermal cooling block and ensure all four plastic support posts have fully engaged and clipped. Carefully peel bottom side of thermal pad plastic (I) and lay flat onto aluminum cooling block. When secure, peel top plastic without dislodging the thermal pad. The thermal pad is very “stretchy” so peel slowly to prevent problems.

5) Install mainboard into chassis and secure with four mainboard screws (A).

6) Install memory module into SO-DIMM slot. If only one module is used, install it in the bottom slot first. Install power button and USB accessory board using two mainboard screws (A). Some units may have pre-installed boards.

7a) If COM ports are required, install two COM port cables into the chassis using hex screws. It will be necessary to twist out front panel knockouts. The inner most cable must be folded under the connector and out the side towards the button/

USB accessory board to prevent cable pinching on the mainboard. The inner most COM cable plugs into the COM port on the mainboard next to the PCIe Mini Card slot. The out-bound COM cable plugs into the mainboard header closer to the front near the USB connectors. Ensure both cables are routed away from the aluminum cooling block.

8) With the hard drive tray not installed, place HDD film (J) on the bracket first, then place the hard drive (circuit side down) on top of the film on the bracket and secure with four silver flat head screws (B). Plug in the SATA data and SATA power right angle connectors into the mainboard and lay across board. Install the hard drive bracket into the chassis over the top of the cable. Note: Pre-forming cables is required for best fit.

The cables shall pass through the “tunnel” under the tray near the back surface of the chassis. The HDD bracket has a tab that will seat under the thermal pad but on top of the CPU cooling block. Secure the bracket to the bottom chassis using two black flat head screws (C) on the back panel. It will be necessary to cut the yellow CMOS reset jumper to a lower height—the grip tab will interfere with the HDD bracket. The jumper is located directly behind the LAN port on the mainboard.

10) If PCIe Mini cards are required, they will fit under the hard drive bracket before the bracket is installed. This view shows mounting for both full and half-height cards. Inside views of antenna jacks are shown, too.

11) Install the top cover onto the chassis. Orientation does not matter. Squeeze together top and bottom lightly to ensure there are no internal fitment issues. If pressure feels consistent, install the bottom four screws first to ensure proper CPU compression for cooling.

12) After bottom screws are secure, install six front and rear screws (C), three each side, along the top of the chassis.

13) Install mounting brackets on bottom of chassis using four black screws (C) provided.

14) Install self-adhesive mounting feet onto bottom side of chassis. Ensure surface is clean prior to securing.

IV. InstallationMounting brackets are included with the enclosure. The brackets have both DIN-rail and quick bi-directional keyway slots for simplified installation.

When mounting, ensure proper airflow around the unit in order to prevent overheating conditions.
