Profile of Louise Allsop (Chamando)

I was first introduced to the Lhasa Apso in the Mid 90's by a dear friend Heather Skillings ( sadly no longer with us ), I purchased my first show Apso from Margaret Anderson in 1997 named Zentarr Valen no, who we sadly lost a er only a few months, she repeated the ma ng in 1998 and I purchased a dog called Zentarr Picasso and a bitch called Zentarr Renaissance who became my founda on bitch, she was first mated in 2000 to Kutani Soldier Soldier and so my affix began, I have been very fortunate in gaining several Stud Book Numbers and my highlight so far was gaining the Dog CC, BOB and group 3 at Paignton Champ show in 2008.

I am very much looking forward to judging our special breed and thank the

DEFINITIONS OF CLASSES

In the following defini ons, a Challenge Cer ficate includes any award that counts towards the tle Champion under the rules of any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club. Wins at Championship Shows in breed classes where Challenge Cer ficates are on offer shall be counted as wins at Open Shows. In the case of a dog owned in partnership and entered in members’ classes or compe ng for members’ specials, each partner must at the me of entry be a member of the Society. In es ma ng the number of awards won, all wins up to and including the seventh day before the closing of entries must be counted when entering for any class, i.e. 23rd December 2016. Wins in Variety classes do not count for entry in Breed classes but when entering in Variety classes wins on both Breed and Variety classes must be counted. A first prize does not include a Special Prize of whatever value. In an exhibitor reports before the judging of a class or classes that a dog has been entered which is ineligible, the exhibitor may choose one of the following op ons: (1) Withdrawal The dog may be withdrawn from compe on subject to the condi ons of Regula ons 9(j) and 20. (2) Transfer (a) If a dog is ineligible for a class or classes as regards its colour, sex, weight or height, the Show Secretary shall transfer it to the equivalent class or classes for the correct colour, sex, weight or height or, in the event of there being no equivalent class, Minor Puppy and Puppy excepted, to the Open class for the correct colour, sex, weight or height. (b) For an exhibit entered incorrectly in a Minor Puppy Class, Puppy Class or Junior Class, which is over age but under twelve calendar months of age, eighteen calendar months of age or twenty-four calendar months of age respec vely, the Show Secretary shall transfer the exhibit to the Puppy Class, Junior Class or Yearling Class respec vely for the correct colour, sex, weight or height and in the event of there being no Puppy, Junior or Yearling Class to the Open class for the correct colour, sex, weight or height. Minor Puppy: For dogs of six and not exceeding nine calendar months of age on the first day of the show. Puppy: For dogs of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the show. Junior: For dogs of six and not exceeding eighteen calendar months of age on the first day of the show. Yearling: For dogs of twelve and not exceeding twenty four calendar months of age on the first day of the show. Novice: For dogs which have not won a Challenge Cer ficate of three or more First Prizes at Open and Championship Shows (Minor Puppy, Special Minor Puppy, Puppy and Special Puppy classes excepted, whether restricted or not). Graduate: For dogs which have not won a Challenge Cer ficate of four or more First Prizes at Championship Shows in Graduate, Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and Open classes, whether restricted or not where Challenge Cer ficates were offered for the breed. Post Graduate: For dogs which have not won a Challenge Cer ficate of five or more First Prizes at Championship Shows in Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit and Open classes, whether restricted or not where Challenge Cer ficates were offered for the breed. Limit: For dogs which have not become show Champions under Kennel Club Regula ons or under the rules of any governing body recognised by the Kennel Club or won 7 or more First Prizes i n all at Championship Shows in Limit and Open Classes confined to the Breed, whether restricted or not where Challenge Cer ficates were offered for the breed. Open: For all dogs of the breeds for which the class is provided and eligible for entry at the show. Veteran: For dogs not less than seven years of age on the day of the show. For two exhibits (either sex or mixed) of one breed belonging to the same exhibitor, each exhibit having been in some class other than Brace or Team. Not For Socie es may at their discre on, accept such entries from within the breed Compe on:

Regula ons for the Prepara on of Dogs for Exhibi on F (Annex B) 1. These regula ons must be observed when a dog is prepared for exhibi on and or

exhibited at any Kennel Club Licensed ebent. Objec ons may be referred to the General Commi ee for disciplinary ac on under Kennel Club Rule A42 A dog found to have been exhibited in breach of these regula ons will automa cally be disqualified from exhibi on at the show and from any award there at

Unless the exhibitor provides a sa sfactory explana on for a dog being exhibited in breach of these regula ons then he/she may be subject to further penal es of either a fine or as listed under Rule A42

2 a. No substance, which alters the natural colour, texture or body of the coat, may be present in the dog’s coat for any purpose at any me during the show. No substance, which alters the natural colour of any external part of the dog, may be present on the dog for any purpose at any me during the show.

b. Any other substance (other than water) which may be used in the prepara on of the dog for exhibi on must not be allowed to remain in the coat or any other part of the dog at the me of exhibi on.

3 No act or opera on which alters the natural confirma on of a dog or any part thereof may be performed except. a. Opera ons cer fied to the sa sfac on of the General Commi ee b. The removal of dewclaws of any breed c. Opera ons to prevent breeding provided that such opera ons are no fied

to the Kennel Club before neutered dogs are shown 4 The General Commi ee without previous no ce may order an examina on of any

dog or dogs at any show. Any examina on thus ordered would be made by a person having execu ve authority who shall have a wri en direc ve from the Kennel Club in their possession. Samples may be taken for further examina on and analysis.

5 Any individual has the right to lodge an objec on to a dog only if he/she is the owner or handler of a dog compe ng in the same breed or class. An objec on may however, be lodged by any official of the show or by anyone so deputed by the Kennel Club. It will be the responsibility of the individual who lodges the objec on or the official (as appropriate) to substan ate the grounds for the objec on. The Kennel Club will substan ate the grounds for an objec on made on its behalf.

6 Any objec on by an individual related to an infringement of these Regula ons must be made in wri ng to the Show Secretary at his/her office before the close of the show and the individual must produce evidence of iden ty at the me of lodging the complaint.

RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. OPENING OF THE SHOW: The Show will open at 9.00am. 2. ARRIVAL OF DOGS: Dogs will be received un l 12 noon, a er which no dogs

may be received except under excep onal circumstances and by special permission of the Show Management.

3. JUDGING TIME: Judging will commence at 10.00am. 4. REMOVAL OF DOGS: Exhibits may be removed from the Show a er their judging

has been completed. The Show will close half an hour a er all judging has been com-pleted by which me dogs must be removed.

5. COOKING STOVES: The use of cooking stoves in the proximity of the ten ng and benching areas is forbidden except as authorised by the Show Management.

6. ENTRY FEES: Members £5.00 first entry per dog. Non-Members £6.00 first entry per dog, all subsequent entries with the same dog £1.00. Not For

Compe on £1.00. 7. PRIZE MONEY: No prize money will be paid at this show. 8. REFUSAL OF ENTRIES: The Commi ee reserves to itself the right to refuse entries. 9. PUPPIES: Puppies under six calendar months of age on the first day of the show are

not eligible for exhibi on. 10. MATING OF BITCHES: The ma ng of bitches within the precincts of the Show is forbidden. 11. BEST PUPPY IN SHOW: Where a Best Puppy in Show is scheduled the Best Puppy in

Show is a Puppy which has competed and is unbeaten by any other puppy exhibited at the same Show. A puppy is a dog of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show. Where the Best of Breed or Best in Show is a pup-py it will automa cally be Best Puppy in Breed and Best Puppy in Show respec vely. Similarly, if the Reserve Best in Show is a puppy which has only been beaten by an adult dog it will also automa cally be Best Puppy in Show respec vely. Consequently, selec on of Best Puppy in Breed and Best Puppy in Show must follow the selec on of Best of Breed and Best in Show respec vely. Best Puppy in Show must be selected from puppies which have been judged and which are unbeaten by any other puppy, WITHDRAWAL FROM OTHER COMPETITION: Puppies which become eligible for Best Puppy in Show may be withdrawn from all other compe on other than breed classes and Best of Breed prior to the compe on for Best Puppy in Show as appro-priate in order to remain unbeaten. A Puppy beaten in compe on for Best Puppy in Show may subsequently bw exhibited in all compe on for which it was previously eligible. The dog declared Best Puppy in Show, however must not compete in any subsequent compe on. PROVISO: For the purpose of this Regula on, dogs beaten in compe on for Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Progeny, Brace and Team or Special Award confined to a single breed will not be considered to be a beaten dog.

12. BEST IN SHOW: The dog declared Best in Show is a dog which has competed and is unbeaten by any other exhibit at the Show. Best in Show must be selected from the exhibits declared Best of Sex providing that they are unbeaten winning dogs. Reserve Best in Show must be selected from the Best Opposite Sex and the Reserve Best of Sex to the exhibit declared Best in Show. The dogs declared Best in Show and Re-serve Best in Show must not compete in any other subsequent compe on. WITH-DRAWAL FROM OTHER COMPETITION: Dogs which become eligible for Best in Show may be withdrawn from all other compe on other than Breed classes and Best of Breed prior to the compe on for Best in Show as appropriate in order to remain unbeaten. A dog beaten in compe on for Best in Show may subsequently be exhibited in all compe ons for which it was previously eligible. The dogs de-clared Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show, however, must not compete in subse-quent compe on. PROVISO: For the purpose of this Regula on, dogs beaten in compe on for Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Progeny, Brace and Team or Special Award confined to a single breed will not be considered to be a beaten dog.

13. Exhibits will not be admi ed to Best in Show compe on a er a period of 10 minutes has elapsed since the announcement that exhibits are required for judging, unless they have been unavoidably delayed by previous judging not completed on

me, and then only with the special permission of the Show Management. 14. REGULATIONS: No modifica on will be made to this schedule except by permission

of the General Commi ee of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by an adver-sement in the canine press wherever possible.

15. PREPARATION FOR EXHIBITION: All exhibitors must be familiar with Kennel Club Regula on F Annex B—Regula ons for the Prepara on fo dogs for Exhibi on.

16. All dogs resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to the show can be made. All overseas entries with-out an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor.

17. DOGS IN CARS: Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club offers the following guidance to help guide you through the do’s and don’ts travelling to and whilst at KC licensed events.

When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave earlier to avoid increased me in traffic jams.

If your vehicle is not air-condi oned seriously consider whether travelling to a show is a good idea at all.

The vehicle should be as fully ven lated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink.

Ensure your dog is not si ng in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog.

When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle.

Keep the dog in the shade—take your own shade for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated.

Avoid your dog taking unnecessary exer on, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of me. Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much ho er and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please look a er your dog’s welfare.

Please take care of your dog. WARNING—If your dog is found to be at risk forcible entry to your vehicle

may be necessary without liability for any damage caused Anyone whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reason-able steps to ensure the needs od their dog(s) are met, and should not a dog’s health and welfare at risk by any ac on, default, omission or otherwise. Breach of Kennel Club Regula ons in this respect may be referred to the General Commi ee for disciplinary ac on under Kennel Club Rules and Regula ons. Right to Refuse Entries. Exhibitors/Compe tors are reminded that show socie es have the right under Kennel Club Regula ons to refuse an entry.

18. Not for Compe on entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club Registered.

19. A dog may be disqualified by the Commi ee from any award, whether an objec on has been lodged or not, if proved amongst other things to have been registered or recorded as having been bred by the scheduled judge. This shall not apply to a judge appointed in an emergency. DOG FOULING: Any owner, exhibitor, handler or other person n charge f a dog is requested to remove as soon as possible any fouling caused by their dog/s at any Kennel Club Licensed Show within the licensed venue and within the environs of that event including car and caravan parks and approaches. Adequate receptacles for the disposal of such fouling will be provided.

Exit at junc on with A47 (Peterborough North) and follow A47 towards Wisbech, Keep on A47 un l you reach the junc on with A1101 and take 3rd Exit A1101 to-wards Outwell, upwell follow A1101 through Outwell along river into upwell, The hall is located approximately 100 yards past the point you cross the river on the Right .

From A1 / A14 Hun ngdon

Follow A141 Towards March and keep on A141 Un l You reach Wimblington and take the B1093 on your right signposted towards Manea follow this road approx 1 mile un l junc on with B1098 and turn le along river. Follow river all the way and follow B1098 un l your reach the junc on with A1101. At the junc on with A1101 turn le un l you see the signs for Upwell the hall is located on the le approx. 100 yards before you reach the river.

From London

Follow M11 and leave at Junc on 14 signposted A10 Ely / Newmarket, follow A10 around Cambridge following sings for Ely then Li leport. At Li leport take the first exit signposted A1101 Welney and keep on this road for approx. 12 miles un l you reach Upwell, the hall is located on the A1101 on the le approximately 100 yards before the river.
