Directions
Summer Reading Program for LHMS students: Attention rising 7th grade students: Get ready to read and to play Bingo this summer! To play reading Bingo, complete the squares and make Bingos. The more Bingos you make, the better the prizes!!
Let’s play some Bingo! Each square on the Bingo board is either a book to read, or a reading activity to complete. Shade in each square as you go to make your Bingos. Each Bingo is 5 squares in a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal direction. Remember: One book is required to be read by ALL students (the middle square), but playing Bingo is for fun and prizes.
📖 BOOK SQUARES: Book squares are located in the four corners of the Bingo card and the middle square. These squares require you to read a book, and fill out the chart below. Make sure to get a parent/guardian signature for proof of completion.
🏃 ACTIVITY SQUARES: Activity squares are activities to complete related to reading. For each activity, you must provide one of the following for proof of completion:
○ Tweet proof (picture) of the reading activity @LHughesMS -hashtag #LHMSReadingBingo ○ Take a photo and save it to show your English teacher later ○ Briefly describe the activity in written form and have a parent/guardian sign it
Prizes, Prizes, Prizes:
➔ Shade in one Bingo on the board to win a small prize ➔ Shade in more than one Bingo for entry in the medium prize raffle ➔ Shade in the entire card for entry in the large prize raffle
Remember: You will return this form in the fall to your English teacher. Expect a future English assignment related to your book. Prize distribution and raffles will take place in September. A completed form and proof of activities is required for all prize raffle entries.
