Monthly Hoagie Sales Hoagies are a long-standing fundraising tradition for the Grenadier Band and Orchestra. This sale provides a fre-quent and regular source of income for both the individual student and the organization as a whole. Each hoagie sells for $3.50—of that, $2.00 goes directly into the student’s quota, and a variable portion goes into the general fund. Four varieties are offered: Regular with and without onions, and Turkey with and without onions. Regular hoagies contain ham, bologna, salami and American cheese; Turkey hoagies contain turkey breast and American cheese. All types come with a separate baggie of lettuce and tomato (these hoagies do not get soggy! A great selling point!) and an Italian dressing packet.

It is extremely important to place your order on the dates listed below so that enough supplies are ordered. It is preferred to order online from the LHSGB&OPC website. We begin making hoagies at 6:30 AM on the 2nd Saturday of every month in the Liberty cafeteria. All students who participate in the sale MUST help make hoagies and MUST have an adult partner. If there is a scheduling prob-lem, a substitute must be found. Any questions, email Frank/Chris at [email protected].

Band concert will take place on Friday 4/8 and Saturday 4/9 at 8:00 pm. Volunteers are needed. If you volunteer you will be given 2 "save your seats" for the concert. Handicap seating is available. Please email Cynthia Rommens to reserve. This is a first come first serve basis.

Students will be given 10 tickets total to sell. Five for Friday and five for Saturday, they may swap tickets if needed. A person is needed to be chairperson for the upcoming nominations in April. TREASURER:

Kim Destremps discussed individual line items on the treasurer’s report. MRS. Z: Please have your child check to make sure they have their complete uniform for the upcoming Shamrock parade on

3/12. Also, please have them try on their uniforms before the band concerts. MR. LONG: For any students who sells over 50 tickets, Mr. Long will take them to dinner. Tickets are $10.00.

Performance schedule is on the chalk board. There a lot of upcoming events, please ask your child if they have any-thing coming up. The workshop with Orchestra went very well. Along with their performance on stage. The students showed their

amazing ability to stay tuned and worked very hard with the music selection that was given to them on such a short notice. Main Street parade was also a hit with the attendees of the parade.

A big "Thank you" to Betsy Mowrer for being the trip coordinator. The City of Bethlehem will celebrate their 275th Anniversary this year. The band will be performing on 6/25. This performance will include the seniors that will be graduating this year. The students maybe wearing their uniforms or T-shirts. This will be discussed closer to the performance date.

The current 8th grade students that will be in band this coming school year 2016-2017 music will be mailed to them sometime in May. Hawaii tag-a-long information will be out shortly. Trying to work on details for students first and then the tag-a-long

details will follow. The dates for the Hawaii trip are November 21-28. The school cleared the dates for the students. On 3/11 bagpipes and drums will be performing with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers at the State Theater in Easton at 7:30pm. Students who are involved will be attending a workshop at 9:00am. We need parent volunteers to transport students. No students will be allowed to drive themselves. The students will be provided lunch during their

time. The students will be dismissed between 2:30 and 3:00. Parents will need to pick up their child. The report time for the performance will be 6:00. MR. FRANK:
