Overall, I think the production of my music magazine went very well Overall, I think the production of my music magazine went very well and the finished product looks professional. Initially my magazine images were and the finished product looks professional. Initially my magazine images were found on the internet but in the end I decided to take my own photos and edit found on the internet but in the end I decided to take my own photos and edit them myself. What worked in my magazine was the layout of the pages and them myself. What worked in my magazine was the layout of the pages and especially the contents page as the main focus was on pictures so that people especially the contents page as the main focus was on pictures so that people don’t have to read the text to find the page they want. What didn’t go so well I don’t have to read the text to find the page they want. What didn’t go so well I felt was the magazine front cover and the amount of information on the front, felt was the magazine front cover and the amount of information on the front, because if people want to see whose in this certain issue then they have to go to because if people want to see whose in this certain issue then they have to go to the contents page which isn't helpful. Compared to my school magazine I think the contents page which isn't helpful. Cover lines which have a background image which is related to the story

Tells you the issue of the magazine and what month

Name of school

Blue and red are used as the main colours because they are in the school logo

Main image of the students takes up the majority of the page.

Medium close up shot of the students

Page 10: Liam Media Evaluation

Once again I continued using blue as the more dominant colour because it is modern and is the colour of the school logo.

Bold writing clearly states what the page is for

Simple layout with page numbers down one side and the page information down the other.

Clear separation between the page numbers and what's on the page so it is easy to understand.

Page 11: Liam Media Evaluation

The selling line is there to make people buy the magazine, to show how good the magazine is.

‘We love music’ is the magazines motto

Cover lines advertise the main stories. The main feature is the bigger font.

A puff which advertises a particular feature in the magazine

The masthead ‘Bass’ has been coloured in these colours to make it look like a stereo equalizer, emphasises the fact that it is a music magazine.

The background image is of an urban scene and there is graffiti on the walls. This emphasises my point that this magazine is aimed at a younger audience as this is more associated with them

The use of bold font emphasises the fact this magazine is aimed at the younger audience.

Page 12: Liam Media Evaluation

Masthead from the front cover to show what magazine they are reading.

Big header so the reader knows what the page is for. Bold font called ASH which I downloaded from dafont.com

More focus on the pictures so that the reader doesn’t have to look at the small text.

The pages in my magazine are separated into different sections to make it easier for the reader to find what they want for example if they wanted to look at the charts they would look at the charts section

Page 13: Liam Media Evaluation

The header has been done in a worn font to match the urban background.

I have continued using the colour blue like on the cover.

All of the text is contained in three columns, two on the 1st page and one on the 2nd page.

The header is in a bold font so that it stands out from the rest of the text. The background image was taken in a

dark tunnel which adds to the mystery of the person standing against the wall because you cant see their face.

The quotation is in bold font to highlight an important part of the text
