emphasize that we do not own the digital files. the only copyright that applies that any copyright laws that apply to the original (physical) item. Also, may need to have talking points ready for Q&A on international copyright law, permissions titles.
feedback
Agreed re: PDFs. Don't we have examples of things users have done with BHL items? Images: publications, images for crafts (things I know about: wedding decor, room decor, album covers, christmas ornaments, digital art). Data - rod page, the recent user post re: Lepidoptera. Etc, etc, etc - you both know more than I do.
feedback
I think for me, the rely portion is more about non-scan requests - users spot needed title merges, metadata errors, problems with digital scans, OCR readability problems, etc - these are 'quick fixes' but problems we wouldn't find on our own. It also gives them a sense of ownership - they are also responsible for BHL's usability.
feedback
Then, there are suggestions that are more big-picture - some we have done, some we have not, some we will in future, some we will not.
feedback
I like it, but it is difficult to see how many libs there are and where they are... Not sure how to best display this information. We have a list of names, and a distribution across the globe - at some point, I think we need a number somewhere, just to help make this concrete.

I think I like the CD diagram earlier in the presentation, but I am able to be convinced otherwise. Maybe more Gemini screenshots/us explaining how we actually do it?
feedback
Maybe an example of a monograph with repeated requests?

I like the idea of the Asiatic Society pubs, and I was very involved in that so it's something I feel comfy with
feedback
Agreed re: Asiatic Society. That issue just keeps getting larger as related publications are requested.

Core Project Principles

• Open access• Open data• Deliver content where users are already

working– Via other biodiversity websites & taxonomic

resources– Via social media

• Involve users in collection & technical development
