Joy Fellowship will meet in the library on Monday, December 5 th at 7 pm. We will be looking at Romans 3:9-31. Please join us. There will be puppet practice on Wednesday night @ 8 pm in the sanctuary. If the weather is bad, listen to KWLM Willmar or KDMA in Montevideo for cancellations of services/classes at Bethany or call the church. Even if services/classes are held, take into account your own situation/roads before attending. Cancellations are made by our Leadership Committee Members. Christmas at the Farm …. Saturday, December 10 from 1:00 pm 3:00 pm at the Friesen Historical Society Farm, lunch will be served & gifts for the children. Everyone is Welcome. Thanks to those who decorated the church they included the following: Smokey Arends, Lee Hagemeyer, Jeff Koenen, Kari Asche and Madi, Piper & Brooks, Todd & Sue Erickson, Darren & Cheri Melin, Ryan & JoLinda Niemeyer, Mark & Renae Satre and David & Megan Struxness. A BIG thank you to Kathy Davids, Julie Schoep, Sue Erickson and Darla Koenen for organizing and working at the coffee bar the night of the lighting ceremony. Duane Sietsema appreciates our prayers as do Justin Ulferts & Kristine Beyerl. Dick & Dona Swart serve in Ethiopia. Our sympathy is extended to Emma and Kenneth Koenen on the passing of her sister, Julia Gunderson (89) of Luther Haven. Julia’s funeral was held on November 26 at the Big Bend Lutheran Church. The Bethany staff would like to invite you to a special Christmas cookie & coffee/apple cider fellowship after the worship service on December 18 th . The Annual Congregational Meeting of Bethany Reformed Church will be held on December 14, 2011 at 7 pm. Deacon and Elder nominees will be elected and budgets for 2012 reviewed and voted on, as well as reports given on the life of our congregation in 2011. The Senior High Youth will be serving a dinner before the meeting. In case of bad weather, the meeting will be held a week later on December 21. Thanks to all the Shepherds and their wonderful ministry at Bethany! As we near the end of the year, we will need some new shepherds to join our current ones. If interested, please contact Pastor Don, Craig Dirksen, Rachel DuHoux, Jim Hilbrands, Ron Honken or Randy Janssen. The Poinsettia in the front of church is in memory of Melanie Gerdes. Sunday School Offering last week: $22.00 Catechism Classes will resume Wednesday, January 4, 2012. We need a 3rd Grade Catechism teacher beginning January 4. Please contact Kari Asche or Tanya Hoekstra ASAP if you will teach this class. Just a reminder that you will need to return your baby bottle next Sunday. Please return them to the church office. Every newborn baby receives a “Baby Bundle” filled with new baby items. To help us continue this program you can donate new baby items. You can bring any items that you would like to donate with your returned baby bottle next week.
