License Responsibility As a license holder, you are responsible for
obeying all traffic laws. If you choose not to follow laws, your
license can be taken away from you for a period of time and even permanently taken away.
Any person who has their license suspended or revoked must pay a minimum $100.00 reinstatement fee.

The Department of Public Safety may take any person’s license if it is determined that they should not have been issued the license!
Remember - YOU DON’T GET YOUR LICENSE BACK WHEN IT IS CANCELLED.
Revocation If convicted of certain offenses, a driver license
may be revoked. After the period of revocation has passed, the
driver will be required to take and pass the driver examinations.
Possible offenses that could result in revocation:
Manslaughter or homicide as a result of operating a motor vehicle.
Driving while intoxicated. Using a motor vehicle in the commission of a
felony. Three reckless driving convictions in less than twelve
months. Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle belonging
to another.
SuspensionIf a suspension occurs, you may lose your license for a short period of time and then
you may get your license back.
Possible reasons to have license suspended:
Incompetent to drive a motor vehicle. Permitted an unlawful or fraudulent use of
your license or mutilated such license (fake identification).
Convicted of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer.
Convicted of racing on the highway. Ages 15-18 and withdraw from school under
certain conditions prior to graduation.
Important Facts to Remember:
Cancellation- you can’t get your license back!
Revocation- you can reapply for your license after a certain time frame.
Suspension- you can get your license back.
