Utility Location and Mapping

BCE Spatials Geo Radar capability offers

the fastest, most accurate and cost-

effective means of identifying, imaging and

cataloguing underground utilities and

assets.

BCE have a full suite of detection devices therefore we

can offer a range of services to suit different situations

and meet our clients needs. We can provide the final

service information as field mark-ups or as digital

plans in PDF and various CAD or GIS formats.

We use advanced GeoRadar that exceeds the

accuracies and capture time of conventional GPR

processes. BCE can capture and deliver a wide variety

of infrastructure assets including sewerage, drainage,

water, power, gas and communication cables including

fibre optics.

BCE Spatial is a registered with DBYD and all work is

done to the Australian Standard for Utility Detection

AS5488 which sets out the different classes of capture

quality.

Utility Location and Mapping

Our Services

Using a wide variety of the latest detection devices,

the team at BCE Spatial can collect comprehensive

utility models that can be exported as 3D CAD

models.

Our 3D Geo Radar is far more effective than traditional

GPR in that uses multi-frequency, multi-channel

technology that fully scan the ground. It is also directly

coupled with high precision GPS to record 3D features

as we go. The systems we utilise are vehicle mounted

and can be used on roads under BCE Traffic

Management plans. Typical uses include the following:

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Services

Using the latest roto-copter UAV, BCE has

developed a comprehensive suite of close

range imagery and 3D model products.

UAV’s are unique in that they provide almost no

disruption to operations. Flying overhead, normal

operations can continue without interference while

BCE efficiently survey areas and provide geo-

referenced, high resolution imagery from low altitudes.

We can fly at precise speeds allowing for accurate

and precise capture every time.

Our UAV is small, lightweight and can be transported

anywhere. This is especially valuable in surveying and

inspecting environmentally sensitive, hazardous or

difficult to access areas and structures. Aerial data can

be accurately captured and reproduced to show

progress and changes over time.
