Use the most adaptive and suitable wall mount solution!Liebert HPW can be configured in over flow (Liebert HPW ---O) or down flow (Liebert HPW ---D)version, resulting as extremely adaptive to different site layout; whatever is the chosen deliveryair version wall cuts are the same, the condenser section is always positioned on the top part ofthe unit reducing critical environment impact on condenser efficiency and permitting easier andmore effective maintenance activities.
Distribute the air in the best way!Use theLiebertHPW ---D version toget efficiency andeffectivenessat same time:LiebertHPW ---D delivers the cold air straight down, close to the racks suction area and intakes the hot air out-coming from the heat sources in the top part of the room. In this way the mixing effect betweencooling unit cold air and the electronic equipment hot air is denied resulting in a doublebeneficialeffect: the racks are fed by cold air where it is needed and the air conditioner treats only the hotair maximising its efficiency.Proper temperature inside the racks, high efficiency of the cooling equipment, hot spot absencein the site: distributing the air in a smart way is very effective.
Save energy!The use of the freecooling gives the possibility to stop the compressor and condenser fan, usingthe external fresh air to cool the site: the annual energy absorption, requested to cool the site,goes sensibly down. The0---100% finemodulation allows to keepconstantly thedesired set pointinside the site. Thanks to its own air distribution (only hot air is exhausted), Liebert HPWdownflowversion, extends the yearly freecooling use, increasing the energy saving.
Maximize site reliability!Liebert HPW, equippedwithe the Emergency Cooling feature, does not stop the operation evenin case of mains failure: fed by 48 V DC emergency supply from back up systems, Liebert HPWautosets its parameters to ventilate andmaximise the freecooling to keep the indoor temperaturebelow the shut down limit, reliablity of the site means also reliability of the unit. Downflow modelallows tostart theEmergengy Freecooling at a higher external temperature, reducing the siteshutdown risks.
Fast installation and start---up!No piping or refrigeration work is requested on site: just prepare cut---outs in the wall, accordingto the template, andmake power available. As soon the unit is fixed and sealed on the wall, placethe remote display in a suitable position and feed the unit.Installation canbe further speededupusing the fast plug connector option (available on request):no wiring is requested on site and the connection can be performed even by non skilled person-nel. In case of unit replacement, the fast plugs allow replacement ina few minutes.

CabinetThe unit is designed to be installed outdoor, coping with the worst weather conditions.The self ---supporting cabinet is made of heavy gauge galvanised steel panels, painted on bothsideswith RAL7035 polyester powder, insulated with polyurethane foam, fire---proof class 1. Thebackpanel (wall side) includes integral spigots, 50mmdeep. Fixedpanels aresecuredbywater---tight, aluminum rivets.All external screws are anti ---vandalism type, to be opened with a special tool supplied with theunit. Metal safety grids rated IP20 --- protect the machine and prevent contact with sensitive/dan-gerous components.
Refrigerant circuitThe refrigeration compressor is a hermetic, scroll type, complete with internal protection againstover heating. A crankcase heater maintains a minimum refrigerant temperature to allow reliablestart---up and operation even in very cold climate.The circuit is pre---charged with refrigerant and includes a thermostatic expansion valve, filterdryer and sight glass, low pressure and high pressure switches and two access valves.The compressor is housed in a compartment separated from the air flow and protected by aninsulated panel closed with anti ---vandalism screws, accessible from the front side for completemaintenance.
Evaporating sectionA single coil with copper tubes and aluminum fins, having a large heat exchange surface to re-duce humidity removal and increase efficiency.A galvanized steel condensate drain tray (10/10 mm thick) is provided.

Condenser sectionA wide surface condensing coil (L or U shape) is provided. It is designed in copper tubes withaluminium fins and sized to allow operations at least up to up to 50_C outdoor air temperature.
Condenser fanThe condenser fan is of the axial type, with integral IP54 motor and internal thermal protection,statically and dynamically balanced, including sealed--- for--- life bearings. Blades, impeller andcasing are made from corrosion---proof materials.It is protected by metal safety grids, rated IP20.
Air filterThe filtering system is composedby two filters, one for the indoor air and one for the fresh air (eas-ily removable from the front outdoor side of the unit). Filters are pleated type (except indoor airfilter on over version) with a synthetic fiber surface and metal frame, giving G3 class efficiency(CEN---EN) as standard.
Electrical panelThe electrical board is housed in a compartment isolated from the air stream and closed by ascrewed on panel. It is built in accordance with EN 60204---1 recommendations.

Main featuresThemain board is housed in the electrical paneland can be connected to the remote display, tobe installed in the container/room (connectioncable is included in the remote display option).
The user interface (option) is the 3---digit back---lit display showing parameter values and rel-evant symbols/codes in a tree menu. It featuresnavigation push buttons and status leds.General warning and general alarm signals areavailable: both of them activate a visual indicator in the optional display.Input for remoteOn---Off and volt --- free contacts for simple remotemonitoringof generalwarningand alarms are available.

Options
Emergency coolingThe unit is optionally equipped with an emergency cooling system that allows to ventilate or tocool through external fresh air the site in case of main electrical supply fault.For this purpose the evaporating fan section, the control, and the free cooling damper are sup-plied in 48 VDCpower supply (from rectifier in normalmode, from batteries in emergencymode).This option guarantees the air circulation inside the site and if the control recognizes the properexternal temperature to run the freecooling mode, the damper will open to fresh the site and getthe required set point. The emergency cooling system is also available in 230 VAC.
The compressor and the condenser fan are supplied by standard AC power.
HeatingThe heating option includes electric heaters (1.5 kW on models 05 and 06, 3 kW on models 08to15) located in the top indoor unit area, one stage andON---OFF regulation. A safety thermostat,with manual reset, prevents from reaching dangerous temperatures.
FreecoolingThe optional, innovative rotary freecooling system consists of a rotary damper controlled andmoved from AC servomotor (48VDC supplied in the emergency version). The system allows a0---100% modulating free--- cooling in order to respect the desired set point. The exhaust air isdischarged through the unit without any additional external damper.The control allows the unit to run in freecooling mode when the difference between the indoorand outdoor air temperature reaches the required value to get the nominal cooling capacity. Inemergency situation, the freecooling is allowed at a lower difference between the indoor andout-door air temperature, in order to use the external fresh air as much as possible.A combined humidity and temperature sensor (Humitemp) can be fitted, in order to avoid highindoor humidity levels in freecooling mode, acting on the freecooling damper.Fast return damper option is available to close automatically the damper in case of AC powerfailure (DC power failure in the 48VDC emergency cooling version).Combined operation, mechanical cooling and freecooling is available on request.
Control”No Display” option let just authorized people to change main parameters set, using a ”servicedisplay”.Graphic display is available featuring a 24h graphic record of controlled parameters as well asthe last 200 events occurred. A back---up battery keeps the data stored in the memory (graphicdata record, alarms).
Special filtrationOptional high--- level filtration can be reached.A clogged filter system can be supplied to advise when the indoor air filter is dirty.
GrillsWhile fix intake air grill is efficient solution, optional delivery air double adjustable grill could benecessary to address the cold air where it is really needed.
PackageStandard packing consists of a wooden pallet and cardboard box. Polythene foam protects theunit painted surfaces. On request, a cardboard box with an additional wooden crate or woodencase for sea transport can be supplied.
