From the Pastor’s Heart...

Financial Peace University Wednesday, September 2nd @ 6:30 pm or Sunday, September 6th @ 4:00 pm We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! FPU teaches God’s ways of handling money. This class presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you have dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!

If you have not pre-registered and would like to attend this class, come by the Welcome Center Desk on Wednesday or Sunday to find out where your class will meet.

The Legacy Journey Wednesday, September 2nd @ 6:30 pm or Sunday, September 6th @ 4:00 pm This class will lead you deeper into investing, basic estate planning, safeguarding your legacy, and discovering the keys to generational wealth and true generosity. Through video teaching, and class discussions, you will learn a biblical framework for living intentionally now, so that later you’ll be able to leave a legacy that will secure your family’s future and make a lasting impact on the world around you. If you would like to attend this class beginning this week, please come to the Welcome Center desk before class on Wednesday or Sunday to find out where your class will meet.

We are about to do something that many have prayed for through the years. We are

combining efforts with Calvary Baptist Church, Sunset Avenue Baptist Church, as well as other

area churches, to host a four-night gathering to seek God’s face for a spiritual awakening, October 4-7, called One Cry.

One Cry is a movement of believers who are urgently crying out to God to revive the church and transform the culture. The One Cry Conference is a worshipful, prayerful, and challenging event that calls God’s people to turn, pray, and unite for spiritual awakening. The preaching, music, children’s leaders, and creative elements are all led by Life Action Ministry, who has been here two other times in the past 10 years.

This four-night event is designed to help our churches, to help us, to re-ignite our passion for Christ, engage in fervent revival prayer, encourage unity and reconciliation, and look forward with expectation toward God’s supernatural work. It will begin on Sunday morning and conclude on Wednesday evening, and include elements for the whole family. Mark your calendars and plan to participate with your whole family each night.

The Art of Marriage Begins Wednesday, Sept. 2nd @ 6:30 pm or Sunday, September 6th @ 4:00 pm

Every marriage is unique, expressed by the colorful personalities of each spouse and textured by the circumstances at play in their lives. Blending these to make marriage work is a divinely inspired art form-challenging to master but definitely worth the effort.

For more than three decades, FamilyLife has been helping couples discover God's plan for relationships. Now, in this study for small groups, we weave together expert teaching, engaging stories, man-on-the-street interviews, humorous vignettes and much more to portray the hope and beauty of God's design.

Register in the church office.

Women’s Discipleship Courses Ladies, we will be offering several discipleship courses just for women starting on Sunday, September 20th and Wednesday, September 23rd.

We are currently going through a survey process with the women of Englewood and will present those courses by Sunday, September 6th.

You may sign up in the bulletin or online beginning that day.

Awana Clubs cater to specific age groups ranging from 2 years old to 5th grade. Each Wednesday night, children will memorize Scripture, learn about God during their counsel time, and have a fun recreation time. All Awana activities are designed to be age appropriate. Preschoolers will meet in the Worship Center at 6:30 pm. Parents of 3 & 4 year olds who are new to Awana should plan to remain with their child on September 2nd for a brief parents’ meeting. Children in Kindergarten to 5th grade will sign in to the Lewis Building gym at 6:30 pm. For additional information, contact Pastor Jordan or Michelle Ferrell in the church office.

“Seek First” on Thursday October 1st 6:33 am & 6:33 pm

Students, join us each Friday in September for Friday Night Lights beginning September 4th from 9:30 pm - 11:30 pm.

Come hang out with your friends after the High school football games in The Edge with food, games, music and an open gym for basketball.

God is waking us from our slumber and mobilizing us to pray earnestly for revival. Together, we desire to travel the narrow road of brokenness, humility, and repentance. We cry out for the extraordinary work of the Holy Spirit in our day. We believe that true revival is the only hope to reverse our

spiritual recession and enable us once again to display the beauty of Jesus Christ and His Gospel throughout the world. Join us on the first day of October at 6:33 am and then again at 6:33 pm as we Seek First the Kingdom of God in our lives, our marriages, families, churches, nation, and the world.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness… Matthew 6:33

Student Ministry...

September kicks off a new year with WOL (Middle School) and EC (High School) students in The Edge beginning Sept. 2nd. WOL has been revamped with changes to allow students to interact with friends and leaders in a time of competition each week. High School students will be going through the life of Christ and studying the encounters Christ had with people just like us. We are looking forward to a great year which will bring life-change to students and leaders.
