How Thinking The

Thoughts You Think

Can Change Your

Life.

Is there a way to work wonders in your life? Yes.

Is it difficult to learn? No. Let’s start to learn how to live the life of your dreams. One of the most valuable possessions you have is your mind, and it belongs only to you,

and it is for you to command in every which way that you wish

your life to be. It’s pure Magic- a Genie in a bottle. All you have to

learn is how to ask correctly and

it will bring into your life all the

wonders that you have dreamed

of. It’s not hard work, you don’t need to take a classroom course, you don’t need money and you don’t need the sweat of concentrated positive thinking. You just

need to Believe That You Are Worth the changes

you want to see in your life and all the good in this

lifetime is your birthright and you Will have it.

Sounds impossible? Sounds untrue? Maybe now,

because you are a beginner to this truth, but if you

think for a moment, if you give it a try, what can

you lose? You would, on the contrary, be in

possession of a healthy Self Esteem and have a

better opinion of yourself that will act as a source

of constant motivation for you to do better

anyway. All religions tell us to appeal to our higher selves

while addressing this business of Living. In other

words, to look inwards. Introspect. So why are we

constantly looking for advice and validation from others, from society, from our peers? If only we

learned to trust that little voice that echoes life’s truths to us, we would be in perfect harmony with the Higher Power, with the universe and with

1 society. In this way there would be no opposition

in our lives at all, and when there is no opposition

all roads must necessarily lead to successful

living. This is called The LAW of

ATTRACTION. In the first of our series to share the Law of

Attraction and how it works for you, we start at

the very beginning. How Thinking The Thoughts

You Think affect your Life. A belief is nothing but

a Thought you keep thinking. By pure repetition

of the thought you cause a belief to be formed,

which your subconscious mind accepts and

thereafter, proceeds to make all things come

together in a way that you achieve what you desire. The subconscious mind does

not have a morality nor judgement of its own, it simply accepts what you believe to be true and act towards the fulfillment of it.

The first thing you need to realize is

that you have a choice to think

either good or bad. The Law of

Attraction is a Law that states that

what you think about constantly

will manifest in your life. So it

makes perfect sense to think that

good things happen to you all the

time and there could be no possible advantage in thinking ill for yourself. Though this

sounds very much like positive thinking, it goes a

little beyond, in the sense that you must believe

that you have already received that which you

desire. Desire is another emotion that needs to be

understood fully in order to make it work. Desire

is much more than wanting and needing. It is the

thing imagined that floats into your mind

unbidden. It is a thought that fills you with

expectation and brings a smile to your lips, very

much as a lover would do when remembered, and

just as effortlessly constant is the memory of a lover so must be the memory of that which is desired till its manifestation.

Understanding Vibration

Why we chant OM

VERYTHING in the universe has

its own vibration. Each cell,

atom, molecule, object - the

entire universe has its own vibration. This is the reason we chant

“OM”. OM is the creation of the universe. However, while this mantra has undertaken a

distinctly Shiva’iite connotation in today’s world, it has a thousand meanings. The

resonance of the chant ‘OM’ purifies the soul and the universe, constantly. Such is the power of this chant. When you are lost in the chanting of ‘OM’, you are becoming one with Source and

are connecting with ALL who

are chanting, who have chanted

the same, and you are on a perfect frequency to receive all the answers, solutions and remedies to Life’s problems.

The frequency of your thoughts plays the

same part in this exchange. If you offer the

right vibration, you create a synchronicity

with the vibration of the universe and then

automatically ATTRACT the responding

effect into your life. Think of it like this -

you can tune a radio to a STATION of your

choice and listen to anything you like. You

cannot see the different frequencies of

various radio stations since they are

invisible, however, you can tune in to your

desired station, depending on how well you

refine your search. You can reduce the

unnecessary static which acts as a

distraction.

2

For e.g., if you offer GRATITUDE for

even the simple things you already have,

the universe will respond equally by

blessing you with more of the same.

However, if you offer the vibrations of

Unhappiness and Lack of Money, Health

or general discontent, then you will

ATTRACT more of such negativities into

your life. After all, a vibration is just a vibration, and does not judge or morally correct your thinking. It does not have a mind of it’s own, it only and only, accepts the thoughts YOU choose to think to bring their

fruition into your life.

Belief

A thought repeated to

yourself constantly becomes

a Belief. Think about your

beliefs and you will find that

in early childhood you

were taught

many of the tenets you

NOW live by. This is applicable in each aspect of life. For example, even for the language you are familiar with, you firmly believe that you are correctly using the nuances, simply because the alphabet you use was taught to you by pure repetition. A belief or faith in the thing that is desired brings the particular thing into reality, by guiding you down the roads to its fulfillment. If you desire something to happen for you, you must follow a 3 step plan, namely - Ask, Believe and Receive.

SELF - TALK

Law Of Attraction

very person talks to

themselves. It is the

inner voice that

argues, analyses,

makes excuses, makes you

happy or makes you sad.

There is a subtle running

commentary that is going on at

the back of your mind, and the

more you listen in on it , the

stronger the emotion it is

dictating becomes, and as a

result, your vibration of that

emotion or feeling is

sent out into the

universe, and the

universe promptly

obliges by giving

you more of the

same emotion or

feeling. So, it then follows

that you be aware of

the inner voice or as

we call it, Self-Talk. You can actually talk yourself Up

or talk your self Down,

However, If you practice saying positive things to

yourself, you immediately feel

good, more self confident and

in control of almost any

situation. When you Feel like

this, you attract the cooperative

components that allow all of

these positive feelings to

change into actual things in

order to compliment your life.

Adversely, if you tell yourself

you are not worth it, that you

are going to fail at the

endeavour, it is a certainty that you will. You can develop a better system

of SELF-TALK, by listening to what

you say to yourself each day. As

with the choice you have with

your thoughts, similarly you

have a choice with words, and

ideas that you say to yourself.

The moment you become aware

of feeling badly about yourself,

you will also notice the

difference in the way you are

talking to yourself. Firstly, you

should evaluate whether what

you are telling yourself is true

or are you imagining it to be so?

Remember, it is not the thing

or event that makes you sad or

happy, but your THOUGHTS

about it that effect you so.

Make sure that your thoughts

are positive and not negative,

that they are helping you and

not hindering you from

reaching your goals, or simply

concentrate on just making

your day a great one. An easy way to do this is to

talk to yourself in the mirror in

the bathroom. Here you have

the privacy to look yourself in

the eye and really speak to

yourself. Tell yourself that you

are winner, that the day is

going to be a success, that you

are achieving everything that

you put your mind to and that

you are brimming with

confidence. This practice will

allow you to chase your

dreams to fulfillment. It is clear that we all, without

exception, have an internal

representation of our own self

esteem, be it anything. We all

have an image of ourselves or

how we would like to be – the

successful business, the fancy

car, the drop dead looks, the

perfect life partner and so on

and on. The magic secret is

that IF you repeat with belief

that you can have,

and be, whatever

you desire often

enough, the

universe will

respond

accordingly to your

wishes. This is

called the Law of

Attraction, and it

works!

Think Big ,

talk Big to yourself, and

believe it is happening for you, do an internal remodeling of

your thoughts and discover

that all paths leading towards

attaining your desires become

achievable. Self-talk yourself to SUCCESS!`

TIME

MANAGEMENT

ime

anagement involves the Past and the

Present in order to predict the

Future. Actions of the past that

are stored in your memory

give you the required

approximation about How to

do something and the estimate

of the time required

to complete the task and so

forth. The Present gives you actual

circumstances to work within

your limitations and your

opportunities. An idea that did

not work for you yesterday,

may suddenly be very easy to

execute today because times

have changed. When you

combine the two, it provides

you with an ability to PLAN

the Future to your advantage. Time Management is all about PLANNING. Time

management makes you more

productive in every way,

because you proceed to do

things in an orderly fashion.

When you make this a habit,

you will get much more done

in a comparatively lesser

amount of time, and

will have enthusiasm to do the things

that you enjoy doing. It is a

great tool to use to eliminate

stress and chaos. When you

are stressed, you tend to be

irritable, muddled and do not

know which way to head. A little Planning goes a long way in making your personality both at work place and at home shine. One of the greatest tools to be

used for effective Time

Management is making To Do

Lists. It is imperative that you

jot down every little action or

errand on a list. If you follow an

order according to priority, you

will soon be very efficient. Given below are some headings which will help you to make such a list. 1.Time frame from waking in the morning to leaving for the work place. 2.Time frame for homemakers

from waking in the morning

to seeing family go to

office/school etc. 3.Most important tasks to be

done on reaching the work

place. These include attending

to your daily correspondence,

looking over a file for that

afternoon meeting, bringing

up a point with the Boss etc. 4.Planning the menu for the

day, giving instructions to

the maid, tidying the

house/garden. 5.Learning to prioritize tasks according to – a.) Importance. Note I do not

use the word Urgent, because

if you plan most things and go

4 according to your plan, there

will be no urgency nor waste

of time, e.g., pay your

electricity bill as soon as you

can instead of waiting for

the due date. The line to pay

is shorter and your time is

not wasted. b.) Self presence or

Delegation. When you read a

particularly long list of To Do,

check and see if you can

delegate some tasks to

another. A parent Teacher

meeting needs you as a parent

to be present, but cashing a

cheque or paying a bill can be

delegated to someone else. c.) Shared resources. Plan

your day effectively according

to the resources shared by you

with others, e.g. car,

photocopy machine, maid or

even the bathroom at home. Remember, to be known as a

calm and efficient person has

great rewards both in the work

place and at home. It makes

for a very pleasant day when

you can smile without the

pressure. There is a lot of good that TIME MANAGEMENT

does for you if practiced daily,

so make your list and follow

it.

Manners Etiquette Utensils The utensils that you will be using should be on the table. In the case of a very formal dinner, some of the flatware may be added or replaced with each course. Forks are placed on the left with the napkin and bread and butter plate. Knives and spoons are on the right with the glasses. Utensils are used from the outside in. Never place used silverware back on the table. Do not leave spoons in a cup; place on a saucer. If a piece of silverware falls on the floor, simply scoot it under the table. Ask the server or the host to bring you another one. Never wave your fork or knife around or use as props. Napkins There are signals for removing the napkin from the table. One way is after the host does so. If there is no host at the table, wait until everyone at the table has been seated to place your napkin on your lap. In fine restaurants, the server will

usually take the napkin from the table

and place it in your lap for you. Place the napkin folded in half (with the crease closest to your waist) in your lap. For ladies, if you are concerned about your lipstick coming off on your napkin, blot it with a tissue before you come to the table. Lipstick on napkins or glasses is most unattractive. If you need to excuse yourself from the table, do so between courses. Simply excuse yourself and leave your napkin on the seat of your chair to indicate to the server that you will be returning. Never ball up a napkin. When the meal is over, the host will place the folded napkin on the table. If there is no host, wait until everyone has finished and then put your napkin to the left of your place setting. The most appropriate time to do this is as everyone is rising from the table. Avoid placing napkins on clean or dirty plates. Place the folded (dirty) napkin to the left of your place setting when the meal is complete. If you must blow your nose, please excuse yourself from the table; do not use the napkin—it is not a handkerchief. Service Food is served from the left. Food and beverage is Refilled, Removed and Replenished from the right. You do not need to thank the server for each course they bring out.

5 It is appropriate to move and interact with servers in order to make serving easier.

Food & Beverage Selection It is best to order foods that can be eaten with a fork and knife. Finger foods can be messy. Avoid ordering foods you are not familiar with. If you have allergies or food restrictions, it is acceptable to ask how the food is prepared and to make a special request in advance. If you are attending a large function where the meal is pre-ordered, inquire about the menu or tell the person issuing the invitation that you have special needs. In a pre-ordered meal, alcoholic beverages may be have already been ordered and you may not order separately.

Eating

Wait for the host/hostess to pick up their fork before you start to eat. If there is a custom to say a prayer

before eating, you will not be embarrassed.

If there is not a host/hostess, wait until everyone has been served before you begin. At large tables that seat 8 or 10,

the wait staff may have difficulty serving everyone at the same time. It is considerate of those

who are waiting for their food to encourage the other to start while their food is warm. If you are seated at a round table of 6-10, wait until all have been served before you begin eating. If you are seated at a long banquet table, begin eating when at least 3 people on either side of you have been served. If you are served foods that you cannot eat, eat what you can on the plate and leave the rest. Same goes for foods you do not care for. Never share foods or eat off someone else’s plate. Remember that business meals are not about the food — they are about business first. Pace your eating. Pay attention to how fast or slow the other diners are eating so you do not finish way ahead of them or lag behind. Never ask for a doggy bag.

Do not smoke at the table. Do not speak with food in your mouth.

Never chew with your mouth open. Do not make loud noises when you eat.
