LifeApril 16, 1944, in Hart County, Georgia
You arrived in the storm
Your arrival on a cloudy day
On your arrival, God said, “Bless my child!”
You were the baby in the manger
but not in a stable
in a field of debris
scattered from A to Z
God gave you life for 73 years
Most of all, God said,
“It is time for you to come home, my child.
Welcome home, my child, welcome home.”
