2011 Accomplishments (1)
• Strong support for and participation from 29 Societies, Council and Committees (see slide 3)
• Created Life Sciences Steering Committee• Created Life Sciences Project Team (35 members)• Created five Life Sciences Sub-teams • Launched the Life Sciences Web Portal on June 22, 2011 (
http://lifesciences.ieee.org) and refreshed Portal content on a regular basis
• Organized and planned for the first IEEE Life Sciences Grand Challenges Conference, Oct 4-5, 2012 , National Academy of Science, Washington DC
• Started evaluating organizational structures for post-NIC operations, e.g., Multi-Society Technical Group
