    Transom bulkhead was found set in [250 (H) x 200 (W) x 75 (D) mm] at an area located two

    (2) m from main deck and 2.5 meters from center line in way of starboard side. Note: H =

    height, W = width, D= depth.

    Recommendation The above mentioned dented area is to be cropped and renewed to the satisfaction of attending surveyor

    The above mentioned dented area was re inspected externally and internally from void space no. G3 cent

    and no internal stiffeners were affected , and based on the configuration and nature of the above dent, and

    that same found not affecting the structure integrity, the compliance date could be deferered to the nextAnnual Hull Survey not later than 22 April 2010.

    Statement/Observation

    660 THIS IS TO CERTIFY that the undersigned Surveyor to this Bureau did, at the request of the Owners

    Representative, Attend the MODU "Admarine II", ABS ID No 8304462, of Panama, on the 05 th Jun 200

    and subsequent dates, whilst She lay in elevating condition at Abo-Zeneima, Soth Sinai, Egypt, in order

    to witness and report upon examination and testing of the Periodic Servicing of Launching Appliances a

    required by Regulation III/20.11 of the 1996 Amendments to 1974/1978 SOLAS

    For further details see report as follows:

    Regulation III/20.11 Periodic servicing of launching appliances and on-load release gear

    11.1 Launching appliances: Forward, & and Starboard Forward, and aft Lifeboats

    Winches

    1.Maintenance records were reviewed to confirm onboard maintenance is being carried out at

    recommended intervals.

    2.A thorough examination and a dynamic Winch brake test at the maximum lowering speed with a load

    of the Life Boat without Persons on board was carried out at this time, by a competent Person in

    the presence of ABS Surveyor.

    3.Dynamic test of the Winch brake was carried out at the max. lowering speed in accordance with

    paragraph 6.1.2.5.2 of the LSA Code, by suspending the Life Boat with water bags equivalent to 1.1

    times the total mass ofthe Lifeboat when fully loaded with its full complement of Persons and Equipment.

    11.2 Lifeboat on-load release gear: Forward, and Starboard Forwardand aft Lifeboats

    1.Maintenance records were reviewed to confirm onboard maintenance is being carried out at

    recommended intervals.

    2.It was confirmed that the lifeboat on-load release gear is being thoroughly examined and

    operationally tested during Surveys required by Regulation 1/8 of the 1974/1978 SOLAS.

    3.The Port and Starboard Boats were operationally tested at this time under a load of 1.1 times the

    total mass of each lifeboat, when fully loaded with its full complement of Persons and equipment .

    Found 1. The life boats on-load release gear system were found to be due for operational test,

    under a load of 110% the total mass of the lifeboat with its full complement of persons and

    equipment on 01 Sept. 2009.

    2. The life boats Launching Appliance (Davits and winch) were found to be due for a

    dynamic winch brake test at the max. lowering speed and with a proof load equal to 1.1

    times the weight of the life boat and its full complement of persons and equipment, on 01

    Sept. 2009.

    Recommendation 1. The life boats on-load release gear system are to be operationally tested, under a load of 110% the tota

    mass of the lifeboat with its full complement of persons and equipment

    2. The life boats Launching Appliance (Davits and winch) are to be subject to a dynamic winch brake test

    the maximum lowering speed and with a proof load equal to 1.1 times the weight of the survival craft or res

    boat and its full complement of persons and equipment.

    The above-mentioned tests are to be carried out by Manufacturer's representative or a properly trained pe

    familiar with the system, but who is not necessarily certified by the manufacturer.

    Note: The above-mentioned tests are to be witnessed by ABS attending surveyor.
