Lifestyle Guide
Dear Esplanade Residents, We are so happy to be seeing some of you back here around the pool and fitness center. As we enter into this new chapter of living, we are happy to be able to start getting back into a routine. We appreciate everyone cooperating with the new regulations we have set in place for everyone’s safety. As we know, these times of social distancing are hard but, we want to avoid social isolation. Keeping in touch with family and friends during this time is more important than ever. Check on your loved ones and make sure they are getting through this trying time knowing they have someone to lean into. We are hoping you have spent some of your time trying new things and finding ways to stay positive. Some ways to continue doing so, are to choose new ways to stay active, try new recipes or watch something new. We are here to help you with all of those things! Check out our new fitness suggestions, recipes and give our YouTube channel visit for some comic relief. Please make sure to stay safe and healthy during this time. Try singing a new song every time you wash your hands to switch things up, keep the proper space between yourself and others and avoid touching your face. We will get through this transition together, and come out living our new normal even better than before! Sincerely,
Jeremie Guglielmi Lifestyle Manager | [email protected] | 407-460-3775

Traditionally, Flag Day 2020 is viewed as a time of honor. The flag
of the United States represents freedom and has been an
enduring symbol of the country's ideals since its early days;
therefore people (across the United States) use this day to reflect
on the foundations of the nation's freedom. They also remember
their loyalty to the nation, reaffirm their belief in liberty and
justice, and observe the nation's unity.
Flag Day is a day that commemorates the adoption of the flag of
the United States that took place in 1777 by resolution of the
Second Continental Congress.
The history dates back to 1777, when British symbols of the Grand
Union flag were replaced with a new design featuring 13 white
stars in a circle on a field of blue and 13 red and white stripes
( one for each state) by the Continental Congress. The number of
stars increased as the new states entered the Union, but the
number of stripes stopped at 15 and was later returned to 13.
President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation calling for a
nationwide observance of the event on June 14, 1916.
However, Flag Day did not become official until August 1949,
when President Harry Truman signed the legislation and
proclaimed June 14 as Flag Day. In 1966.
IN HONOR of Flag Day this year we would like to invite all
our future residents to submit a photo of you, your spouse,
your family, or even pets posing Infront or around an American
Flag. Represent the love for your country with a fun selfie or
photograph with our nations flag. We will share these images
with your neighbors and post them on our community page!
Please submit your photos by: EOB Thursday 6/11 to your

Share your favorite recipes with us for our
Esplanade Cookbook!
We are creating an Artisan Lakes cookbook and would love to add your recipes! Summer is just
around the corner and grilling season is almost here. We've had several potlucks and it is
obvious that Artisan Lakes is full of great cooks!
This will be a fun way to connect with the community while sharing recipes. From drinks and
desserts to salads and sliders, the more the merrier! If the recipe has a special place in your
heart or a fun back story, please share that too! You can even submit your own video to share.
Just remember to send it to us first so we can put it on our YouTube channel.
Please include a photo of yourself and a one line statement about what you are most looking
forward to or enjoy about the Esplanade Lifestyle. Is it the opportunity for new friends and
neighbors, learning to play a new sport such as pickleball or just splashing around in our resort
style pool with your family?
If you want to be part of the cookbook this is your chance to participate!
Please send submissions to: Jeremie Guglielmi by June 8th at:
Fun with your Furry Friends Our furry friends have been such good companions for us during
social distancing! So good, in fact, they deserve a little recognition!

name, and if you would like, their breed, how they feel about social
distancing, or a fun fact! Fun facts could include anything from
your what your pet’s favorites are, from their favorite treat to their
preferred toy, who their best friend is, their special talents, or even
a silly anecdote! The slideshow will be sent out to the community.
