Championship at HOYS. Only horses entered on 2006 Show Hunter

register may compete.

Class 603

Is a qualifying event for the Working Hunter Championship at HOYS.

Only horses entered on 2006 Show Hunter register may compete.

Ponies (UK) 2006 Summer Showing Championships (Affiliation Number 006/AFF/4534)

To Qualify horses/ponies MUST be registered with Ponies Association (UK) before qualification. Competition cards will be issued free of charge from the Ponies Association (UK) office on completion of registration of Horse/Pony. Riders MUST become A members of Junior/Seniors Riders Club Members before entry into the Summer Championship is

lodged.

This show is a qualifier for the BSPS PA Business Systems “OrderITOnline.com” Challenge, the highest placed pony in the Lead Rein, First Ridden, Intermediate, Open Show Pony, Open Show Hunter Pony, Cradle and Nursery Stakes and Open Working Hunter Pony, that has not qualified for the 2006 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class, will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the BSPS PA Business Systems “Order It – Online.com” Challenge, the qualification will be awarded to the next

eligible pony.

This show is a BRONZE MEDAL show for the Welsh mountain Pony Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D.

CLASS 108 SIDE-SADDLE CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE - The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse and rider. Attention may be paid to the rider’s personal appearance but detailed inspection of rider or tack is not required. Fancy dress or period costume is not permitted. No individual show is required, but the judge may ask groups of three or four riders to give a small display. 2 Special Rosettes will be awarded to the highest placed adult rider wearing a silk hat and to the highest placed adult rider wearing a bowler hat, provided they are members of the SSA.

N.B. Silk hats are permitted to be worn by adults in this class AT ANY TIME OF DAY

Juniors must wear hats to current British Safety standards for this class. Adult riders not wearing such hats do so at their own risk.

to horses and ponies 4 years old or over. Riders will be required to give a short show including a small jump, max 2 feet (61cms) The height of the jump may be adjusted during the course of the class at the judge’s discretion. the class shall be judged on the show, the manners of horse/pony, and its suitability for the rider. Conformation will not be considered. Special rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Adult and junior member of the S.S.A. Hats to current British Safety standards must be worn for this class.

NPS. The two highest placed horses from classes 111,112, 113 and 114 will qualify for the final to be held at the NPS Championship Show, Malvern in August. If the two highest placed have already qualified, qualification may go down to fifth place. Foals are excluded from this

All horses placed to 3rd at affiliated shows qualify for the Classic Supreme Cob Class at

the National Championships.

This show is a qualifier for the PONIES (UK) KEMPLEY RIDDEN COB CHAMPIONSHIP. The highest placed exhibit not already qualified within the first 6 places with a P(UK)

Summer Competition Card OR a 2006 Summer Ticket to Qualify will qualify.

**QUALIFIER**

This show is a Qualifier for the BLUE CHIP & IDHS(GB) £2000 CHALLENGE The qualifier from classes 115 and 116 will be the highest placed horse (not already qualified) that is registered or eligible for registration on the Irish Draught of Irish Draught Sport Horse Register, i.e. with a minimum of 25% proven Irish Draught breeding. The horse need not be registered to qualify but MUST be on the IDHS(GB) registers by the time of the Championship,

which will be held at the IDHS(GB) Annual Breed Show on 17th September 2006 at the

Lincolnshire Showground. Each qualifier will receive a rosette and £10 voucher from Blue Chip. IN THE FINAL, the Champion will be awarded £1000 prize money plus a Trophy and Blue Chip rug, the Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3

rd to 7

th inclusive will be awarded £100

each. In addition, a £100 prize money plus a Trophy will be awarded to the highest placed Pure Bred and a Trophy to the highest placed under 15.2hh.

The BSPS will award Rosettes for the Champion and Reserve Champion Pony. The highest placed 133cms in the Open 138 cms Show Pony Class, and the highest placed

143cms in the Open 148cms Show Pony Class will qualify for the 2006 BSPS Championships Show. (Riders must produce their card for the Judge to sign whilst in the ring). Owners and riders must be BSPS Members and the pony registered with the BSPS

Class 603 is a qualifying event for the WORKING HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIP AT HOYS.

Only horses entered on 2006 show hunter register may compete. The highest placed horse will qualify to enter at HOYS unless it has already done so, in which case the second horse will go forward. No horse lower

than second place will qualify.

CHALLENGE CUP for the winning Working Hunter

Grade A Showjumpers and Advanced Eventers are not eligible to compete in Working Hunter Classes. Any horse which has qualified as a Grade A Show Jumper or Advanced Event Horse as at 1

st January 2005 is not eligible to compete in Working Hunter classes. To be judged 60% for

jumping performance, 40% as for Hunter Classes. The jumping to be judged 40% for actual jumping and 20% style and presence. Ride and conformation 40%. Fences to be a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 in number and a maximum height of 3’9” at the discretion of the Judges. Fences should have a natural appearance and not be easily dislodged. No un-numbered obstacle can be included on the course. The manner of going to be taken into account. No change of rider or tack will be allowed (unless a horse in ridden under side-saddle, riding phase only). A rider can ride up to two horses in the jumping phase but then must select only one horse forward into the ride and conformation section if so required (no change of rider is allowed). A skull cap or hard hat with safety harness according to the current approved BSI or European Standard must be worn by ALL competitors during the jumping phase of Working Hunter Classes. Skull caps must have navy blue or black covers. Horses may be equipped with boots of a plain colour in the jumping phase only. Rigid or weighted hind boots are not allowed. On completion of the jumping phase all clear rounds and any other horses the Judge may require should be asked to

return to the ring. If a horse positively stops, ceases to go forwards at any time during its jumping round, or turns its quarters to a fence, or has a complete turnaround these constitute refusals. If a horse jumps the incorrect fence out of a pen or lane it will be eliminated. Horses displaying continued disobedience, or horses leaving the ring whether mounted or dismounted will be eliminated.

This class is a qualifier for the HAZELDEN WORKING HUNTER OF THE YEAR CHAMPIONSHIP. The Highest placed exhibit not already qualified within the first six places with a P(UK) Summer Competition Card OR a 2006 Summer Ticket to Qualify will qualify.

This class is a qualifier for entry into the STYLE & PERFORMANCE FINAL at the CHAPS (UK) CHAMPIONSHIP. The highest placed coloured exhibit from within the class placings

not already qualified will do so.

This show is a Qualifier for the BLUE CHIP & IDHS(GB) £2000 CHALLENGE. The qualifier from class 603 will be the highest placed horse (not already qualified) that is

registered or eligible for registration on the Irish Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse Register, i.e. with a minimum of 25% proven Irish Draught breeding. The horse need not be registered to qualify but MUST be on the IDHS(GB) registers by the time of the Championship, which will be

held at the IDHS(GB) Annual Breed Show on 17th September 2006 at the Lincolnshire

Showground. Each qualifier will receive a rosette and £10 voucher from Blue Chip IN THE FINAL, the Champion will be awarded £1000 prize money plus a Trophy and Blue Chip rug, the Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3

Classes 721 and 722 are qualifiers for the BLUE CHIP & IDHS(GB) £2000 CHALLENGE. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from each class will qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip Championship, which will be held at the IDHS(GB) Annual Breed Show at Lincoln on 17

This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Both the owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete, but in order to qualify they must both be Showing Members and the horse/pony must be registered with the society BEFORE this show for the qualification to be valid. MEMBERSHIP, and (for CHAPS Championship Qualifiers) QUALIFICATION CARDS,

MUST BE CARRIED IN THE RING (the latter to be sidned by the judge). Horses may only qualify once, per class, per season. Open to coloured (Tobiano/Overo) horses & ponies only. All ages are taken as at 1

st January of the current year. All stallions 4 years old and over must be graded

with CHAPS (UK) to enter these classes, and must carry I.D. cards in the ring, which are issued by the Society, and exhibited by a rider/handler of the appropriate age. Competitors wishing to show their Pure/Part-bred Arabs/Saddlebreds in CHAPS (UK) Affiliated Classes are advised that the rulings on show category production state that, as from 1

Open to any height or type of horse or pony youngstock – yearlings, two year old or three year olds (foals excluded), 2 yr old and 3 yr old colts must be correctly bitted and shown by the appropriate age handler. To be show in-hand. Qualifications will be awarded to the best Non-Native type and best Native/Traditional/Cob type CHAPS (UK) Registered Yearling, Two Year Old and Three Year Old, owned and shown by CHAPS (UK) Showing Member(s) which has not already qualified, irrespective of class placing. The highest placed in each class, not already qualified, will qualify for the Championship. The amateur status of horse and rider will be strictly enforced. Any horses previously placed at the Royal International or Horse Of The Year Show are not eligible. This Qualifier will be run under the BSPS Associate Horse, General and Championships Show Rules.

***QUALIFIER***

This show is a Qualifier for the BLUE CHIP & IDHS(GB) £2000 CHALLENGE The qualifier from classes M1, M2, M3 and M4 will be the highest placed horse (not already

qualified) that is registered or eligible for registration on the Irish Draught or Irish Draught Sport Horse Register, i.e., with a minimum of 25% proven Irish Draught breeding. The horse need not be registered to qualify but MUST be on the IDHS(GB) registers by the time of the Championship,

which will be held at the IDHS(GB) Annual Breed Show on 17th September 2006 at the

Lincolnshire Showground. Each qualifier will receive a rosette and £10 voucher from Blue Chip. IN THE FINAL, the Champion will be awarded £1000 prize money plus a Trophy and Blue Chip rug, the Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3

rd to 7

th inclusive will be awarded £100

each. In addition, £100 prize money plus a Trophy will be awarded to the highest place Pure Bred and a Trophy to the highest placed under 15.2hh.
