Complete fl exibility with a single luminaire familyMira® has been designed as a luminaire range for diverse uses. With recessed, surface-mounted and suspended variants, the family is suitable for almost all common applications in a building. This enables harmonious lighting with a uniform design throughout the building. The family consists of the linear luminaire with 1200 mm module and the square luminaires with 600 mm and 625 mm modules. All variants are available with either effi cient LED technology or classic fl uorescent lamps. The LED modules emit neutral white (4000 K) or warm white light (3000 K), and the variants with T16 fl uorescent lamps are optionally available with a second ECG, enabling use in areas with special safety requirements, for example in hospitals.

Special fl exibility is provided by the Tunable White versions of the Mira® LED. Together with light management systems, these enable users to create dynamic lighting situations such as brightness gradients or various colour temperatures (in the range of 3000 to 6500 K) for artifi cially simulating the course of daylight in offi ces. This type of dynamic light has positive effects on general well-being and performance at places of work. (For Tunable White versions, see page 21)

Mira® | High Quality of Light

High light quality for superior visual comfortThe homogeneous light distribution of the Mira® ensures good levels of contrast and communicates a harmonious overall impression, and light complies to standards. Reflected and direct glare are avoided, and this improves visual comfort and the sense of well-being.

The basis for this is specifically developed microprismatic technology. The luminaire disperses the light of the individ-ual LEDs into uniform light, with good transmission values. The result: efficiency values to 96 lumens per watt.

Good glare reductionThe innovative prism geometry of the cover ensures wide light distribution without reflections on computer screen surfaces (UGR <19). This provides good visual acuity that also prevents eyes prematurely tiring.

Sustainable and flexibleThe high quality of glare reduction means that computer screens and workstations can be arranged in rooms with complete flexibility. This in turn gives wide flexibility for planning, both today and with future room layouts.

Discreet, restrained design with lightAesthetic accents can also be set with a functional range of luminaires. Mira® unites a discreet luminaire design and appealing designing with light. The cover material and all-round prismatic edge lend the luminaire a very concise and lightweight overall impression. An attractive corona is created with single luminaires, and a segmented light ceiling with groups.

The luminaire housing completely disappears into the ceiling when laid into strip ceilings, leaving only the cover and the corona in view. The surface-mounted and suspended variants are counterpoints to this with all-round aluminium frames.

Contoured aluminium frameThe frame of extruded aluminium profi le protrudes over the cover and is machined with a highly precise mitre cut. The material is anodised.

A soft coronaThe all-round prismatic edge with specially formed grooves ensures discreet ceiling illumination and a soft, pleasant corona.

Saving costs with sensor technologyMira® completely exploits the possibilities of state-of-the-art LED technology with high efficiency and optimum light. The consistently very low energy consumption is a clear plus for both the environment and your budget. The luminaire has been designed for up to 50,000 operating hours and features low maintenance with matched LED and ECG modules.

Further potential for savings is made available by sensor technology, with the optionally available daylight and presence sensors only permitting the luminaire to operate when its light is really needed, providing light completely according to requirements. In addition, Mira® luminaires can be equipped with wireless LIGHTIFYTM Pro control.

Mira® | Light Planning and Control

LIGHTIFYTM ProThe innovative, wireless LIGHTIFY™ Pro system from OSRAM uniquely enables the essential functions of a lighting installation to be controlled with mobile end devices. The system is based on the ZigBee Light Link standard, and luminaires equipped with LIGHTIFY™ Pro can directly communicate via ZigBee with special radio-capable push-button interfaces and sensors. The connection to mobile end devices is established via a special gateway that converts WLAN signals into ZigBee signals. LIGHTIFY™ Pro can therefore be used in almost any IT network, and because no bus lines are needed this means reduced costs for installation, as well as controlling difficult-to-access areas without complex cabling.

Mira® | Fluorescent Lamps for Saving Costs

An eye on costs also with classic lampsAll luminaire variants are also available with fluorescent lamps, providing the right solution for projects where the use of LED is not yet planned. Mira® versions with classic technology also feature outstanding quality of light, while at the same time providing interesting purchase costs.

Luminaires are equipped with multiwatt ECG, meaning that these can be operated with lamps with varying wattages. If the lighting application changes, other fluorescent lamps can be simply fitted. OSRAM LUMILUX lamps for example ensure very good results in terms of luminous efficacy, maintenance of luminous flux and colour rendering.

Mounting and relamping without tools

When installing recessed luminaires, the

reflector bowl can be assembled and

disassembled without use of tools, and

must not be removed for relamping

purposes. Relamping is also without

tools.

Mira® | Practical Installation

Practical mounting with diverse applicationsThe standardised Linect® connection system for recessed luminaires enables both conventional mains connection and connection via the plug connection systems of various manufacturers. The system ensures planning safety thanks to compatibility for all components.

Installation methods and the selection of luminaires are no longer interdependent, and luminaires no longer have to be opened for electrical connection. This can also be carried out without specialist personnel.

The connection terminal is on the rear of the

recessed luminaire and is externally

accessible. The plug connection is inserted

into the matching T connector.

This is then only inserted in the luminaire

and pushed down until it clicks for complete

connection.
