Lighthouse Workplace Solutions provides straightforward, modern workplace pensions and life insurance designed specifically for smaller and medium-sized organisations, with full local support.

Working with recognised global specialists, including award-winning asset managers AllianceBernstein and insurance giant Zurich Assurance, we make it easy and affordable for businesses that employ a small number of people to provide employees with market-leading benefits on preferential terms.

Lighthouse Workplace Solutions is part of Lighthouse Group, one of the UK’s largest providers of financial advisory services and related products. We have extensive, long-standing experience of setting up and administering employee benefits, including workplace pensions, for employers of all sizes.

With approximately 150 experienced advisers across the UK, we are able to provide you with the hands-on local support you need to set up your workplace pension and comply with auto-enrolment requirements – from start to finish and for a fixed fee.

Lighthouse Workplace Solutions was set up to enable small and medium-sized businesses to provide their employees with modern, cost-effective benefits.

With the advent of automatic enrolment, many smaller organisations are providing employee benefits for the first time. We aim to make this as straightforward and easy as possible for them – no hidden charges, no jargon, minimum paperwork. We currently offer two workplace solutions:

Lighthouse Pensions Trust, a TPR-listed master trustOur purpose-built workplace pension scheme, Lighthouse Pensions Trust, was designed specifically for auto-enrolment. It has achieved master trust assured status under The Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW) framework for auto-enrolment and is 5-star rated by independent research firm Defaqto. It is low cost and flexible and is likely to be suitable for most small and medium-sized organisations.

Lighthouse Life TrustOur purpose-built life insurance trust, Lighthouse Life Trust, brings death-in-service benefits to small and medium-sized businesses at market-leading rates and on preferential terms.

Hands-on, practical support and helpWhile our products are modern and make full use of online technology, we know that sometimes it is easier to talk to someone – either in person or by phone. Your local adviser will be there to help you every step of the way, backed by our UK-based administrative centre who you can call with any queries. Lighthouse Pensions Trust

Lighthouse Pensions Trust is a low-cost, flexible workplace pension created specifically for auto-enrolment. It has achieved master trust assured status under the ICAEW’s framework for auto-enrolment and is 5 star-

rated by independent research firm Defaqto.

Lighthouse Pensions Trust is straightforward to use and is likely to be suitable for most employers, but especially those with fewer than 250 employees and average pay and staff turnover rates. It is the only master trust assured scheme available to smaller businesses that has local coverage and offers a complete on-boarding and management service.

Our software works with major payroll packages, enabling accountants and payroll firms to manage all their clients’ auto-enrolment requirements through one, easy-to-use portal.

A choice of investment funds are available, including AllianceBernstein’s range of age-based target date funds. AllianceBernstein is an award-winning global asset manager.

Lighthouse Pensions Trust is set up as an unbundled, multi-employer, occupational pension master trust, giving it robust governance. Its trustees are Bridge Trustees Limited, part of Eversheds Sutherland, one of the world’s largest law firms, BESTrustees PLC and Lighthouse Benefits Limited.

Setting up a workplace pension and enrolling employees is surprisingly complex and time-consuming and it is easy to get it wrong. That is why we set up your scheme and run it for you.

You simply give your local adviser some basic information about your employees, choose how much you want to contribute, and we do the rest.

Once set up, employers benefit from full support from their specified Lighthouse Pensions Trust account manager.

Members can view their individual accounts online.

We provide full support not only during set-up but on a ongoing basis. If you have a query simply contact your local Lighthouse adviser or our admin team.

Our service is managed by your local Lighthouse adviser and implemented by our experienced workplace pensions team. They ensure you meet your auto-enrolment obligations, leaving you free to concentrate on running your business.

Bringing death-in-service life insurance to small and medium-sized businesses at competitive rates and on preferential terms.

Lighthouse Life Trust, available exclusively to employers using Lighthouse Pensions Trust for their workplace pension, makes death-in-service benefits life insurance accessible to small and medium-sized businesses.

It is an unbundled, multi-employer, occupational master trust and is approved by HMRC. It is underwritten by Zurich Assurance, part of Zurich, one of the world’s largest insurance groups, and governed by Bridge Trustees, part of Eversheds Sutherland, one of the world’s largest law firms.

Tax-deductible for the business and tax-free for employees, life insurance is one of the benefits employees value most and really does assist recruitment and retention.

Unlike most life insurance schemes for employees, Lighthouse Life Trust is open to virtually all organisations, not just those with a large number of staff, and covers all employees at market-leading rates, almost without exception.

It enables employers who thought they could not afford to provide death-in-service benefits, or were put off by the complexity of the paperwork and having to deal with HMRC, to provide

this valued benefit. Employers choose a single level of benefit for all employees. No medical evidence is required. The employer simply signs an Actively At Work Declaration when the cover starts.
