LIGHTING PLANLow-Key Lighting is mainly used for horror films due to the effects

it creates. The dim and shadowy scenarios created by this lighting are suited to the conventions of a horror film; it creates tension due to its dark and mysterious atmosphere, controlling how much of the character and surroundings are revealed and how much of the frame is dim and dark.

It sets the tone, mood and creates a dangerous association with enigma through the dark and dull backgrounds.

In my film, I have used low-key lighting as in most of the horror films dim and dark lighting creates an environment of fear and suspense. To partly dark the video frame from one side, I turned off the lights of that particular side and let the natural sunlight bright up the opposite

side, creating a natural feeling and effect. Throughout my film, a Witch is haunting Charlie, thus to create an environment filled with tension and suspense. Low-key lighting

is used to enhance this effect.
