Pattern Notes◌ This part is crocheted in tapestry crochet again, back and forth in rows at the bottom of the blanket. ◌ Important Note: Don’t use the tapestry technique at the beginning and end of each row. Begin

each row with Yarn A, change to a new colour as stated and continue with both yarns to the last repeat with contrast color at the end of the row. Drop new color after last repeat with contrast yarn and fi nish it with Yarn A only. On the next row, pick up contrast color as stated. Make sure fl oats of yarn always stay on the WS.

Row 1. With WS facing you, join Yarn A with ss in ch2-sp in the corner. Yarn A: ch2 (doesn’t count as dc – here and throughout), dc in same sp, 15dc, dc2tog; *Yarn D: 2dc in next st, 1dc, 2dc in next st; Yarn A: dc2tog, 15dc, dc2tog; repeat from * 7 more times; Yarn D: 2dc in next st, 1dc, 2dc in next st;Yarn A: dc2tog, 15dc, dc2tog over next st and next ch2-sp, turn – 215 sts.

Row 2 RS. On this and all next EVEN rows work with sc, changing yarn as per pattern of previous row. Ch1 (doesn’t count as sc – here and throughout), 215sc, changing yarn as per previous row, turn – 215 sts.
