We have successfully completed a number of projects for Ashfield, whose international outsourcing services support the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry across 21 countries and 4 continents. Our partnership resulted in us providing a global Infrastructure, which incorporates enterprise Storage and Blade Solutions in an active-active configuration, spanning the Atlantic.

Ashfield required a solution that allowed them to keep a close eye on all the minute and major factors that could affect the performance of their infrastructure. Our 24/7 managed Monitoring Service PULSE, which monitors over 500 enterprise nodes in 14 data centres across Europe and the Americas, was a versatile and effective choice for the healthcare organisation.

We are currently deploying a Hot Aisle Containment Solution in Ashfield’s UK data centre, incorporating resilient power, cooling and environmental monitoring to help Ashfield optimise their performance. The solution will also include DCIM.

Fresenius Kabi is a global health care company that specialises in lifesaving medicines andtechnologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition.

The business has strict compliance requirements and a need for a high level of security and long term retention of patient data. A FlexPod environment with two additional NetApp filers provides high availability and resilient storage for long term retention and disaster recovery. A new wireless network provides reliable user access throughout the UK based factory facility and offices, improving internal collaboration and responsiveness.

In the data centre, we upgraded the UPS to ensure availability of the critical environment, also installing a digital visitor management system and CCTV to improve security. We also provide 24x7 support to Fresenius’ bespoke mobile application which is essential for nurses to provide clinical services to patients at home.

University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust provides acute hospital services and community services across South Manchester and beyond. The Trust underwent a substantial IT infrastructure upgrade to support their digital transformation strategy.

The project saw the deployment of one of the first and largest NetApp All-Flash FAS MetroClusters in the UK, which provides secure, instant-failover functionality, which in turn delivers high availability and seamless operation in the event of failure.

The MetroCluster implementation provides the platform for the Foundation Trust’s drive towards a digital, paperless future as part of the government’s 2020 vision for a more efficient healthcare system. A Major investment in technology that allows the trust to streamline end-of-bed care through the use of Electronic Patient Record and high performance systems, whilst making long term cost savings through improved efficiencies.

A current project is underway to replace the old data centre that was no longer fit for purpose. The new data centre will provide sustainable, resilient, unified infrastructure and offer efficient power and cooling and enables the trust to expand and improve IT services.

With new models of care, IT transformation allows you to maximise on your investment whilst integrating communication across multiple systems. Our solutions provide the resilience and high availability of services at the data centre, and streamline front end delivery allowing staff to focus on operational innovation and delivering patient centric care.

The Pennine Acute Hospitals Trust serves the communities of North Manchester, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham, along with the surrounding towns and villages. The Trust provides a range of elective emergency, district general services, some specialist services and operates from four sites.

The Trust required a new data centre in a dedicated purpose-built building. The new data centre was constructed with the aim of becoming the primary data centre for the trust and its hospitals.

The data centre needed to be scalable and flexible enough to deploy a range of IT equipment with minimal extra cost and zero downtime. A feature-rich Data Centre Infrastructure Management solution (DCIM), allows in-depth analysis and reporting of the environment and enables the Trust to react quickly to changes within the data centre, whilst being able to predict future investment needs.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS hospital services for around 900,000 people across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and South Buckinghamshire.

Against a limited budget, we delivered a modular data centre build, with the aim of improving power, cooling, and optimising energy efficiency. The modular data centre, with a raised floor and Cold Aisle Containment Solution (CACS) was built inside a disused office within the IT department. Metered PDUs monitor and report output which optimises energy use whilst providing circuit protection.

The benefits of Environmental and Physical Monitoring for Frimley NHS Trust are that they now receive email and SMS notifications when their data centre environment changes, enabling them to react quickly to any issues.

Southern Health NHS Trust covers Hampshire, Dorset, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, and is one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK.

The Trust were experiencing issues with cooling in their data centre, and chose our infrastructure partnership to install more optimised systems. Our solution was to first physically relocate equipment to free up a single rack space, into which we installed the new cooling units. This project was delivered within strict budgetary requirements, providing a cooling solution that met the trust’s performance needs, as well as their economic needs.

Investment in training and personal development is a priority. All our staff undergo a structured induction process and are trained to understand the importance of Information Security, as well as in the highest level of technical and sales skills.

We work closely with QA and Right Track Social Enterprise to employ and train apprentices, providing them with mentors with first class training to start their journey in this fast paced industry.We are extremely proud to be in the top 3% of Investors In People businesses to have achieved the Gold standard.

We recognise that our business operations can have a huge impact on society and that working towards social improvement provides benefits to all staff members, to customers as well as to the business itself.

Our CSR policy is wide ranging – encompassing environmental policies, education provision, local employment opportunities, sporting sponsorship, a comprehensive charitable policy and opportunities for voluntary work.

For a number of years, we have supported our chosen charity, The David Lewis Centre, who provide a range of educational, residential and medical services to support adults and young people with complex needs, including learning disabilities, epilepsy and autism.
