Heavy rains affected Rhineland-Palatinate area where a severe flood event is expected over the nextfew days along the river Moselle. The German Joint Information and Situation Centre (GMLZ) triggeredthe Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping Service to monitor the flood evolution.The present map shows the flood delineation in the area of Prüm (Germany). The thematic layer hasbeen derived from post-event satellite image using a semi-automatic approach.The scale of analysis is 1:50.000. The estimated geometric accuracy (RMSE) is 20 m or better, fromnative positional accuracy of the background satellite image. The minimum mapping unit (MMU) is2500 sq m.

All geographicinformation has limitations due to scale, resolution, date and interpretation of the original sources.
