We would like to congratulate Cork City Council on its historic vote on Mon-day. The Council is the first in The Republic Of Ireland to express its support
for marriage equality for LB couples. The vote was unanimous. This follows on
foot of a number of TDs, such as Eamonn Gilmore, Alan Shatter and Leo
Varadker, coming out in support of marriage equality. The motion was tabled by Sinn FeinnCllr Chris OLeary who said the vote sent out the right message in terms of support for
equality. Enda Kenny has continued to remain silent on the issue.
The annual pub quiz fund-
raiser for Pride took place
in Loafers last Thursday.A great night was had by
all. All proceeds go to
Cork Pride.
