Founded the Creative Kid Project (CKP) in summer 2012 as a platform for Vietnamesemiddle-schoolers to learn creative problem-solving skills and build projects to improve their community.Website: creativekidproject.tk ; Facebook page: .. [Information Package]
Organized the first CKP, "Build Your Dream School" in 2012 for 28 middle-schoolers of 11 Hanoi schools, selected from over 100 applications. The 6 final projects, fully developed by themiddle-schoolers using newly-learned skills, were presented to school administrators, teachers and
parents at the end of the camp on August 4, 2012. [link] Organize the second CKP, "Beyond the Classroom" including 10-day summer camp at
UNIS (June 25- July 5, 2013); implementation of project ideas (July, August 2013) and evaluation of projects (September 2013)
Recruited and trained a total of 40 Vietnamese volunteers from over 100 applicationseach year to build project content, launch PR campaign, manage online platforms and maintainrelationships with key partners
Fundraised $2000 for CKP 2012 and manage a budget of over $2000 for CKP 2013
Manage relationships with Vietnamese and American institutions, including BrownUniversity, The Louis August Jonas Foundation, California Association of Student Councils, United
Nation International Schools, Vietnam New Media Group, Vietnam YESE, and other Vietnamesemiddle-schools.
