Daniel F. Austin Publications Compiled and edited by Dr. Bradley C. Bennett, Dept. Biological Sciences, Florida International University, Miami, 33199 ([email protected]). Note: A complete list of publications is not readily available. Dan left a partial c.v. on his website (address below), covering the years 1992 to 2010. His publication career began in 1967 and continued through 2015. On the website, Dan note that he had published more than 100 journal papers. That estimate is modest. The true number is 158 in 58 different journals. The following list derives from my collection of Austin papers as well as searches using ProQuest, PubMed, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Convolvulaceae Unlimited. In addition, I searched journal that are not indexed by the larger search engines (e.g., Palmetto and Florida Scientist) or that have been recently established (e.g., Phytoneuron). The resulting list includes 308 publications, including journal articles, book chapters, books and popular articles. It does not include his 126 book reviews published in Economic Botany nor technical reports. Is it complete? The answer to that question is, “I doubt it.” However, it is more than reasonably complete and it contains his most important publications. I thank George Staples for his help.
