In order for your recordings to be linked you will want to create an Ensemble Playlist in your Media library for your recordings to be linked. To create an Ensemble Playlist: 1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://ensemble.clemson.edu . 2. Login using your Clemson username and password. 3. Click the Playlists tab on the left side of the screen. 4. Then click the +Add button.

Creating an Ensemble Playlist All videoconference recordings are now stored in our Ensemble Media Server. In order for your recordings to be linked you will want to create an Ensemble Playlist in your Media library for your recordings to be linked.

To create an Ensemble Playlist:

1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://ensemble.clemson.edu .

2. Login using your Clemson username and password.

3. Click the Playlists tab on the left side of the screen.

4. Then click the +Add button.

5. Enter the name of your playlist. Please use the course name as it exists in Banner and Canvas.

Example format/ S1705-ENGL-3500-001.

6. Then click the Save button.

Setting up your Videoconference to be recorded Once your videoconference is setup you will need to email [email protected] the following information so that the recordings can be moved to your Ensemble library upon completion.

• Name – ex/ Pradip Srimani

• Username – ex/ psriman

• Course Identifier – ex/ S1708-CPSC-8200-001

• Name of the videoconference or CMS Meeting space – ex/ CPSC 8200 Srimani > ZGEC 102 > WFIC 310 or [email protected]

• Class Playlist you want recordings linked to – ex/ S1708-CPSC-8200-001

If you are a scheduler, you will want to submit a request with the above information for each videoconference you schedule to ensure recordings are created and linked to the faculty members Ensemble libraries.

Embedding a video To embed a video in any Canvas page or tool with the Rich Content Editor:

1. Click the Ensemble Video tool icon.

2. Select the Organization.

3. Select the Library.

4. Enter a keyword to search your Library by.

5. Click the green plus button to add the video to your Canvas course.

6. Click the gear button to configure advanced settings of the video before embedding.

7. Select the size that the video should embed. Optimally in the 400 X range is the best.

8. Select the checkbox for Download Link. This will enable students who are accessing from school districts that contain proxies or corporations that have firewalls to download the video to watch the video.

9. Then click Save.

10. Click Save again.

11. Click Save to post the video in Canvas.

Note: To preview the video with the selected display options, click the preview icon .

Embedding a playlist A playlist is a searchable collection of videos. Before you can embed a playlist, you must first create a playlist directly in Ensemble Video. If your recordings are from a videoconference, or a scheduled lecture capture a playlist has already been created.

To embed a playlist in any Canvas page or tool with the Rich Content Editor:

1. In any Canvas page or tool with the Rich Content Editor, click the Ensemble Video tool icon.

2. Click the Choose Playlist tab.

3. Select the Organization.

4. Select the Library.

5. Click the green plus for the playlist you want to embed.

6. Click the gear button to customize how your playlist is embedded.

7. Choose the Layout for the playlist.

a. Playlist – displays a list of all the videos in a playlist. Most recent first. If you choose this option you can filter to pull videos associated with specific categories in your Ensemble playlist. Example might be if you wanted to only see the Module 1 videos.

b. Showcase – allows you to group a series of videos together by class. Within the playlist you can assign videos to specific categories. This would allow all class videos to be displayed on one playlist by category groupings and the last couple of videos that were published will be displayed top right. Example would be that you could link your class playlist. If you assign the individual videos to specific categories in Ensemble, they will be displayed either horizontally or vertically by category.

8. If you select Playlist for the Layout, then you will have the following layout options:

a. Category List – allows you to organize videos at the bottom of the page by category.

b. Horizontal – the videos will be organized at the bottom of the page by category horizontally.

11. Click Save.

12. Then click Save again.

13. Click Save to post the video in Canvas.

NOTE: While you are in edit mode, the playlist will appear as a yellow box. To view the playlist as others will see it, save the current page or item.
