Piloted in 2007 Collaborative Agreement between UNM
and NMSU Board of Regents Stimulated Innovative Pathways:
To help fill need for pharmacists in rural communities in Southern New Mexico
To create an academic collaboration between two New Mexico Universities

Goals of Program
Enhance accessibility of pharmacy education for the citizens of southern NM
Reduce pharmacist shortage in southern NM
Serve the pharmaceutical care needs of the underserved in the southern NM region
Increase diversity of the pharmacy profession in southern NM by increasing the number of pharmacists who are sensitive to the unique needs of a significant Hispanic populationLinking UNM and NMSU
