LIS believes in ensuring that its educators are able to continually grow professionally and that they are supported in their goals. It is essential that we promote and model life long learning, seeking it out in a variety of ways. It is therefore important that we reflect on the following when considering applying for funding for professional development:

Teachers will be supported in the best way possible to meet their needs and the needs of the school.

Professional learning opportunity is sourced by applicant, LOL or programme coordinator

Discussion of the application takes place with above parties

Teacher applies for funding using the PD application form at least one month prior to event.

Professional Learning team considers application based onProfessional goals of the applicantProfessional goals of the department/sectionProfessional goals of the schoolApplicant’s PL historyProfessional learning budget

Applicant is notified within two weeks of team receiving application.
