  • Future Statistics Per the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, ~ 32% of all new jobs created in the U.S. economy will be in the healthcare and social assistance. Expected to grow by 29.4%, or 5 million new jobs. Employment growth driven by an aging population & longer life expectancies.   • Future Statistics - Virginia 16.5% of the most future openings in VA will be healthcare related. Home Health Aides, Nursing Aides, Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses 27.3% of the fastest growing future openings in VA will be healthcare related. Home Health Aides, Nursing Aides, Dental Assistants, Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses and Pharmacy Technicians Computer/IT showed up on both lists.
