Royal Bahrain Hospital is a multi-specialty hospital located in Salmaniya. RBH provides emergency and non-urgent ambulance service across Bahrain 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Staff speak: English
There staff is constituted of 17 different nationalities. The hospital’s official languages are English and Arabic.
They have experience of representing British nationals. Over 2000 British nationals have received medical treatment at RBH.

They are affiliated to Ministry of Health Bahrain and NHRA (National Health Regulatory Authority). Facility is accredited by Australian Council
of Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI) since 2012.
The hospital accepts almost all major health insurance company clients. For cash paying patients repayment plans can be considered on a case–
by-case basis depending whether the client is corporate and the payment is guaranteed by way of legal documentations.

American Mission Hospital

This Hospiatal has told us the following things:
American Mission Hospital (AMH) is Bahrain’s oldest hospital and only private not-for-profit hospital on the island. AMH is located on Shaikh Isa al Kabeer Road in central Manama and has two satellite outpatient medical centres in Saar and Amwaj. AMH Manama provides in/outpatient and dental services as well as 24 hr services in the pediatric treatment and urgent care units. Outpatient departments (07:30-22:00) include general practitioner/specialty services in internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, and general surgery including physiotherapy, dietician, radiology/CT, laboratory and pharmacy services. AMH outpatient services located in Saar and Amwaj medical centres operate daily from 07:30 -22:00 and include general practitioner/specialty services as well as laboratory and pharmacy services. AMH Saar medical centre also provides complete dental services.
Day to day business language is English for all Medical Staff (Doctors, nurses, and support clinical staff)
Staff speak: Arabic, Malayalam, Hindi, Tagalog, Tamil, Urdu, & German.
They have experience of representing British nationals.
British Nationals do have to pay for treatment. Most insurance companies are accepted in AMH. Our insurance manager assist you with any further queries about insurance companies and processes. We also accept cash paying patients. Payment is usually made after physician visit and prior to any required laboratory of radiology tests. Inpatient care costs do require a deposit payment.

AMH complies with hospital standards set National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA).
AMH has been successfully accredited with Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI) since 2006 and
was recently reaccredited in 2014 for another four years. AMH was one of the first healthcare facilities to achieve certification in
the standards ISO 9001 Quality Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety in 2013 and have
maintained successful recertification annually.
No repayment plans are available for British nationals.
EHIC cards are not accepted by AMH.
