BOTANICAL EXTRACTS DATA All material that is used for extraction is either in dry or fresh raw form when available. In most cases, the raw materials come in the form of seeds, barks, nuts, fruits, flowers, leaves and whole plant matter. Great care is taken when extracting these raw materials to achieve optimum results. The two most common methods of extraction are through maceration or percolation and will be done in either hot or cold conditions. Solvents used can be one or a combination of the following: glycerol, glycolic, alcoholic or aqueous. Depending on specific needs and/or requirements, some products can be infused or extracted into a lipoid phase. For applications that are sensitive to colors, several steps can be taken to decolorize and keep control over the color of final extracts. The strength of each extract can be altered according to the needs of customer. There are unlimited benefits and uses for botanical extracts ranging from enhancing beauty, therapeutic, pharmaceutical, hygienic, pet products to all natural cleaning supplies. This is why we can also offer many raw materials as botanicals, cut herbs and dry whole material to suit your needs. In many cases, we can offer completely certified organic extracts within a wide range of products. Please inquire as we have many options available.
