LITERATURE REVIEW According to McCroskey (1984), many students -- even at higher levels of study -- experience some level of fear and anxiety when asked to communicate, especially in public. This feeling of discomfort when communicating is called communication apprehension. Communication apprehension happen almost in all student as they are not mastered to communicate in English. This has been an issued as their deficiency of one of the main factor that they are not been hired after been graduated. Employers are becoming increasingly dismayed by Malaysian "generation Y" job seekers who generally have a poor command of the English language and lack communication skills. Most of the graduates had lack of communication skills. The reason may be because most of them communicate with their elder adults and friends using their own dialects or mother tongues. They seldom speak in English. However, the working environment in Malaysia mostly requires people to communicate efficiently in English and Malay. Four of ten fresh graduates and young jobseekers are not hired because they lack three key qualitiescritical thinking, initiative, and effective communication skillsaccording to the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP). Nowadays communication are the main important factor that had to be had inside all job seeker as the company need a skill student that can bring they profit. On a professional context, it is important to communicate a feeling of self-assurance at all times. You will not be taken seriously by colleagues or potential business partners, if you do not seem sure of yourself. Furthermore, other people will seek to dominate you they will interrupt you and speak over you. When this occurs, you are not able to argue your point and get the best results for your company or project. Once a loss of confidence has occurred when speaking English, it can be an uphill struggle to recover and feel confident again. Consequently, communication skill which is been debated as the main factor that job seekers are deal with. Students would be wise to sharpen up their presentation skills if they wish to land that dream job. A recent study by 'The Society of Human Resource Management' has found recruiters are turned-off of applicants with poor vocabulary and an inarticulate way of expressing themselves. Applicants would even fare better if they showed up late to the interview. Consequently, communicative apprehension negatively effects their success.
