CONNECTICUT BAR ASSOCIATION

ARTICLE I NAME AND PURPOSESect ion 1 . Name. The name of the Sec t ion i s L i t i ga t i on

Sect ion 2. The purpose of t h i s Sect ion s h a l l be topromote o b j e c t s o f the Connect icu t Bar Assoc ia t ion wi th in thef i e l d of c i v i l j u s t i c e and l i t i g a t i o n .

ARTICLE I I MEMBERSHIP AND DUESSect ion 1. Membership. Any member of the Connec t i cu t

Bar Assoc ia t ion may become a member o f the Sec t ion upon r eques t toth e Connec t i cu t Bar Assoc ia t ion and upon payment of the dues fo rthe c u r r e n t t e rm.

Sec t 2. Dues. Dues s h a l l be $25.00, payable fo r a~ ~ ~ ~ - - ~ ~ ~ ~ ~th e cu th e annual meet f

Sect ion 2. Execut ive Committee. There s h a l l be anExecut ive Committee cons i s t ing of the Chai rperson and not l e s sthen 15 nor more than 50 members o f t he Sec t ion . The Execut iveCommittee sha l l be appoin ted by the Pres iden t of the Associa t ionin accordance with the app l i cab le procedures of the Assoc ia t ion .

Sect ion 3. Other Of f i c e r s . There s h a l l be a ViceChai rperson , and a S e c r e t a r y / T r e a s u r e r . Such o f f i c e r s s h a l l bechosen by and from the Execut ive Committee a t its organ iza t ionmeet ing each year fo l lowing appoin tment . I f any such of f i c e s h a l lbecome vacant , a new o f f i c e r s h a l l be chosen by and from th eExecu t ive Committee to se rve fo r th e remaining term.

Sect ion 6. Function of Chairperson. The Chairpersons h a l l pres ide a t a l l meetings of the Sect ion and of the ExecutiveCommittee. The Chairperson s h a l l formulate and presen t a t eachannual meeting of the House of Delegates of the Connect icut BarAssocia t ion a repor t of the work of the Sect ion s ince the l a s tpreceding annual repor t and s h a l l make such other repor t s asdi rec ted by the Pres iden t or by the Executive Committee. Thechai rperson sh a l l also perform such other dut i e s as may beass igned by the Executive Committee, and may appoint a member ofthe Executive Committee to ac t in h is s tead in the absence ofother off i cers . .
