    CONCEPT

    S U M M A R Y

For this project we wanted to take a character from the realmof nursery rhyme into the realm of fashion creating acontemporary twist on the fictional figures of our childhood.

Our fashion shoot narrative tells a coming-of-age story of acharacter drawn from a fantasy land into the real world. Our

character is Bo Peep, who in her youth has come to a point of indecision and uncertainty. She is a young teen, faced with

the concept of sexuality, identity and societal class.

We have placed her in a woodland clearing as a psychological space, as its depth and claustrophobic framing

is representative of her searching herself so deeply that inthis time of self expression and experimentation, her own

confusion has lead her to become lost as once were her flock.

We did a series of portrait and landscape

photos, but decided on a landscape image forour final choice. As we felt it visually increasedvastness of the forest, whereas portraitemphasized her scale within the forest more.

Lighting on ModelLighting on Forest &

    Flooring

Our main lighting influence was from Alexander McQueensshow at London Fashion Week. We liked the way the lightfell on the model directly from above, creating showshadows on the face and dress. Also how the light created acircle round the model like a spotlight, but still catching thesurrounding leaves. We also liked the way the flooring wascreated with real leaves and lit in a certain way to make it
