St Luke Early Childhood Center

is proud to announce our 6th Annual “One Enchanted Evening”

February 5, 2016 St. Luke Early Childhood Center

2757 Alderman Road Palm Harbor, FL 34684

This exciting evening with music, casino style games, appetizers, desserts, silent auctions and raffles, is the primary fundraiser for St. Luke Early Childhood Center.

For over 28 years, our center has provided the foundation for both spiritual and academic for-mation for nearly 100 children annually. Last year this event raised over $7,000, which was used for teacher continuing education and the purchase of iPads for each classroom. We are hoping this year will be an even greater success allowing us to provide teacher continuing edu-cation, and updated security technology. All donations are tax deductible and the funds bene-fit our non-profit center. Please consider a donation to be used in our Silent Auction, Raffles, or a monetary donation. Some suggested items are: gym memberships, vacation get-a-ways, gift baskets, gift cards, food trays, wine, etc.

All sponsors and donors will be recognized in our newsletter, signage and church bulletin. The total distribution reaches over 2000 families. Additionally if you make a donation of $225 or more you or your business will be recognized on a casino table plaque. Your donation of $325 provides recognition as stated above as well as tickets and a reserved table for 6.

Please send your donation in prior to January 25th to be included in our written literature. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.

Our tax exempt non-profit 501(c) (3) number is 51-0561749. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call the early childhood office at 727-787-2914.

Hello & Welcome Back!

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas

and were able to enjoy quality time with family and

friends.

One Enchanted Evening is right around the

corner! For those of you who might not know, we

rely heavily on donations for this event to make our

raffles and silent auctions as enticing and profitable

as possible. If you own a business, have a family

member with a business, or if you just frequent a

business… please ask for a donation (goods or ser-

vices) on our behalf. Donation Request forms, as well

as tax exempt information, are available in the

school office. We appreciate anything you can do to

help make this event as successful as possible!

Please remember all profits from this event go di-

rectly back to our school … making it an even more

amazing place for our children to spend their days.

Also, if you are interested in volunteering your time

to help plan our One Enchanted Evening … please con-

tact the school office.

Our January PALS Meeting will be filled with

information. It will be held on Wednesday, January

13th right after morning car line. We will have infor-

mation regarding sign-up dates for kindergarten at

Guardian Angels, our feeder Catholic School, and the

fundamental schools etc. We will raffle off a KMO/

Lunch Bunch/ABC Certificate, One Enchanted Eve-

ning Tickets, and do our monthly tuition raffle. And

don’t forget the children will be entertaining us as

well!

Happy New Year!!!! As always, if you have any

questions, concerns, ideas, or the desire to make a

difference please contact the school office at 727-

787-2914.

From the PALS Board,

NEW YEAR BLESSINGS!

Religion Corner

Happy New Year!

Welcome back everyone! We hope everyone had a

great and restful holiday. We start off the month with the

celebration of the Epiphany. Epiphany translates to

“manifestation” or “vision of God” and celebrates the many

ways Jesus revealed Himself to the world as Jesus Christ.

This human manifestation is revealed in the Baby the Wise

Men in Bethlehem came to worship. Through the miracu-

lous star, God showed the Wise Men that Jesus was born to

be Lord and Savior of all nations. Later, in the Baptism of

our Lord, Jesus is again revealed to be a “vision of God”.

At the end of this month we will celebrate Catholic

Schools Week. Throughout the week the children will par-

ticipate in many fun activities .

Our Two year olds will be learning some new

prayers and reinforcing our daily prayers. We will also be

discussing our love for God, family, and friends.

The Three Year Olds will be talking about the birth

of Jesus and about the three Wise Men who came from far-

off lands to look for Baby Jesus. They loved God so much

and trusted Him to show them the way to Baby Jesus. They

followed the star until it stopped over the place where Jesus

was. We will be working and learning as we introduce the

children to the virtues of faith, hope and charity; and talk

about our families and how we care for each other.

This month the Pre-K classes will be discussing

families: The Holy Family, our Home Family, our Church

Family and our School Family. We will talk about how

families love and care for each other as the Holy Family

cared for one another. We will discuss Baptism and becom-

ing children of God and belonging to God’s family. We

will celebrate being part of the St. Luke ECC Family during

“Catholic Schools Week”- January 25-29.

Wishing you joy in the new year!

For those of you needing our income tax identifi-

cation information for care providers, it is:

Reminder for Sick Students

Parents are reminded that if a child has

a fever, they are to stay home from

school until they are fever free for 24

hours. Sending a child to school before they are

symptom free often sends the child into a relapse

causing them to miss more school and it also can

spread to other children. Please remember our

policy of not sending your child to school with signs

of illness. Thank you for helping us to keep all of

our children and staff healthy, happy and in school!
