We recognise that all individuals may be affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19)

pandemic in some way. Since late January, when it began to become a

significant threat, the IICRC Asia Pacific office began preparing for the impact it

may have on our technicians, schools and other stakeholders.

The IICRC Asia Pacific Office (located in Sydney, NSW) is currently

implementing strategies to enable staff to work remotely. This creates a

distributed workforce less vulnerable to the impact of a regional health event,

while at the same time facilitating ongoing support and mitigating the risk of

disruption to IICRC members.

Some delays may be experienced, and we sincerely apologise for any

interruption in your interactions with IICRC during this crisis. We will be

or equivalent for the Health and Safety Technician (HST) course for Master Designations.

A special Task Force is in development to explore Illicit Drug Remediation (IDRT).

Remediation of illicit drugs is a growing concern in our industry. There is a major need for skilled

remediation technicians who understand how to properly prepare, clean and protect themselves in

these situations. IICRC is committed to providing expert education to assist in the training and

certifying of technicians in this specialty. This Task Force will explore the viability of creating a

certification, or multiple certifications focused on the remediation of clandestine labs or illicit drugs.

need your expertise and experience to help evolve our Certification Courses and Exams.
