TOPIC: BULK FILL TECHNIQUE FOR VOID-FREE COMPOSITE RESTORATIONS

The handling of composites is a completely different scenario as compared to the familiarized handling of silver amalgam. The difficulties in moulding a dough consistency paste in a cavity are known to all clinicians. Air voids and incomplete adaptation of the material to the cavity floor, walls and margin are the dangers that present themselves due to composite handling difficulty.

Bulk fill composites provide the solution to these difficulties, allowing the clinician to pack the material in larger volumes, thus reducing excessive handling of and thereby introduction of air within the body of a restoration.

This presentation will highlight the features of a new bulk fill composite material from the house of Mani-Schütz Dental, with technique tips on getting the best from the material so as to deliver void-free, well sealed, sensitivity-free restorations to our patients.

Dr. Krishna Vyas pursued her graduation from SDM College, Dharwad and started private practice almost immediately thereafter. She went on to pursue MDS in Endo from DMIMS bagging a Gold

medal in 2011 being the topper of the University. Thereafter she went on to refine her microendodontic skills from stalwarts in Endo like Dr. Syngcuk Kim of University of Pennsylvania and also got training from Dr. Christian Coachman, the inventor of DSD. Currently she maintains Elite practice in Raipur focusing on Microscopic Endodontics and Digital Smile Designing catering to elite class of people including Governor, Cabinet Ministers, top Beaurocrats and Industrialists of Chhattisgarh. She has many national and international publications to her credit and is involved in creating dental awareness among the people through news paper articles and various television programs including Doordarshan. Her passion for imparting knowledge and skill keeps her conducting hands on courses on a regular basis for basic, modern and advanced micro endodontics.

ABSTRACT: Current research and advancement in science and technology have made Endodontics simpler, safer and predictable. The theme of the lecture is to address variations in root canal anatomies and how to deal with them from selection of appropriate rotary system to cleaning and shaping protocol to obturation techniques. TOPIC: PREDICTABLE ENDODONTICS

Dr. Sarath Varma graduated from the Government Dental College, Mumbai in 1986 and MDS in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics from the same institute in 1991. Since then he has held

faculty positions in Dental Colleges affiliated to Maharashtra &

Gujurat Universities. He was the Professor & Head at MIDSR Dental College, Latur between 2006 -2011 and Professor in Vaidik Dental College, Daman till October 2013.

He has conducted Hands-on workshop and CE courses for Navi Mumbai, Latur, Ahmedabad branches of Indian Dental Association on Rotary Endodontics on several occasions. At the IDA national conference in Mumbai he was the Chairperson for the Session on Retreatment and Microendodontics.

He has been Product Evaluator for Prime Dental Products Pvt Ltd since 2010. He was evaluator of Silk Rotary NiTi from Mani Inc during pre-launch period 2015. In collaboration with Mani Inc. he has conducted Lecture & Hands-on at various dental colleges across India on Rotary Endodontics.

He maintains a private practice limited to Restorative Dentistry in Mumbai since 1991.

ABSTRACT: RCT is one of the most common procedures done in a clinic. Considering the vast variations in cases it becomes imperative to have a protocol in place to make Endodontic therapy predictable & consistently successful. This lecture revisits the basics of Endo, the current scenario in Endo instruments and how understanding the science behind instrument design will help them do better treatment. The lecture highlights the need and advantage of Rotary NiTi over hand instrumentation. The lecture in addition provides numerous take-home tips for the practioner which can be adopted easily.

TOPIC: DARNA JAROORI HAI

A combination of five regular cases which seemed routine and turned out to be dreadfully huge lesion which if undiagnosed could have landed the Dentist in major trouble. The lecture highlights

the necessity of a protocol for assessment and management of all cases in daily dental practice.

TOPIC: HOW TO...DO SOCKET PRESERVATION- PREPARATION FOR IMPLANTATION

After tooth extraction, the alveolar ridge will commonly decrease in volume and change

morphologically. These changes are usually clinically significant and can make placement of a conventional bridge or an implant-supported crown difficult. If bone resorption is significant enough, then placement of an implant may become extremely challenging. Postextraction maintenance of the alveolar ridge minimizes residual ridge resorption and, thus, allows placement of an implant that satisfies esthetic and functional criteria. Recent advances in bone grafting materials and techniques allow the dentist to place implants in sites that were considered compromised in the past. This article focuses on the healing pattern of sockets, with and without the use of regenerative materials, and the rationale for preserving the dimensions of the extraction socket.

He will answer all your queries about RCT which you face in everyday clinical practice. The discussion will be followed by hands-on of HERO Shaper NITI rotary/ manual files. • Cleaning and Shaping - Using Rotary System • Effective Irrigation Techniques for vital and non vital cases. • Use of Apex Locator • Management of bleeding cases, weeping canals • Management of difficult cases - curved, calcified canals etc. • Management of non vital teeth in minimum sittings

The teeth must be freshly extracted, soaked in water and without mounting.3. Access cavity must be prepared before hand as we don’t have compressor facility at the venue. For retreatment, please remove GP points from the pulp chamber completely. GP should be seen only at the orifices.4. Please get your own contra angle handpiece and burs for micro-motor. Everything else like K-files, rotary treatment and retreatment files, micro-motor, endo-handpiece, EDTA, points, etc. will be provided.

However World over, most Dentists are switching over to rotary instrumentation for shaping the root canal. It is fast, easy, reproducible and consistent in high quality output.However many lacunae exist in the way the instruments are used, resulting into complications like separation of
