    Live Monitor™

  • 1. IntroductionLive Monitor allows broadcasters, commentators and journalists to provide accurate and timely statistics to viewers while games are in progress. The Live Monitor system utilizes STATS Tier 6+ data set, encompassing over 2,700 live events per match plus fitness metrics. Over 235* performance statistics are populated in real-time, allowing users to add objective insight to support commentary via an intuitive online dashboard.

    Live Monitor provides real-time performance insights to enhance your broadcast content and match reports with access to live key performance statistics, including:

    • Detailed insights into attacking play, distribution and finishing plus player profiles and comparison tools.

    • An extensive team and player box score covering finishing, discipline, possession, distribution, regain, fitness and goalkeeper statistics.

    • Key fitness data* including distance, speed, intensity, sprints and threshold statistics.

    • X,Y positional data for use in heat maps and tactical formation displays.

    • Detailed team, player and fitness reports available to download at half and full time.

  • 2. Login And Platform Access2.1. Live Monitor is accessible through a dedicated URL: livemonitor.stats.com 2.2. A user name and password will be provided for each user as per the agreed contract to access the Live Monitor interface.

    2.3. Throughout your Live Monitor utilization, you will see a House Icon, usually at the top left. Tapping on this House Icon will take you back to this Home screen you see below.

  • 3. Competition/match Selection 3.1. If you subscribe to several competitions, you will need to choose from the main interface which competition you want to study by clicking on ‘Competition’ on the top right hand corner. This will show a drop down menu where you can see all competitions. 3.2. If you have access to only one competition, Live Monitor will automatically load the one you have the licence for.

    3.3. To access the match, you’re looking for, Live Monitor propose 3 modes of search: • By Date: find all matches planned for the specific date you selected • By Months: find all matches planned for the month you selected • By Teams: select the team you want to study to find its own agenda and games.

    3.4. Then select and click on the game you want to study to access Live Statistics. Similar to the competition availability a user is granted rights to different data levels: • Event data only (statistics based on event information only) • Fitness data only (statistics based on tracking information only) • Fitness and Event data

    4. Line Up Menu4.1. After game selection, you will access directly the Line Up interface with a pitch view displaying the following information: • Starting eleven with player’s name, number and position. • The list of substitutes (below the pitch).

    4.2. You could choose an alternative List View by clicking on the “List View” button located on the top right of the pitch.

    4.3. On the right part of the Live Monitor screen, you could see the team head-to-head with the following information; • Match score • Match details: Place, Stadium, Starting time, Referee name

    4. Line Up Menu • Goals and Cards • Total time played and Effective time played • Key statistics like Possession, Height of recovery, Balls played, …

    TIP: This Team head-to-head can be shown/hidden at any time on the right part of the screen by clicking on the green icon located at the right bottom hand corner. Hiding this Team head to head will allow you to review pitch maps, match details and graphs in a larger scale.

    5. Dashboard Menu5.1. Dashboard interface provides a statistical overview of the game through different visualization modes (chart, maps, circle, etc…) and the following information can be viewed: • Possession (%) • Possession per quarter (%) • Attacks Distribution • Team Overview (balls played, balls won, shots, …° • Game Leader for each statistic

    6. Team MenuThe team menu is a dedicated interface to follow and study in detail both teams’ performance. The menu is divided into 5 sub-categories focusing specifically on key stats within each area; • Box-Score • Attacking • Distribution • Finishing • Fitness

    The selected sub-category is highlighted green.

    6.1. BOX SCORE INTERFACE

    The Box Score offers a detailed table visualization to present the main statistical categories for both teams, including; • Finishing • Discipline • Possession • Distribution • Challenges • Regain • Fitness

    6. Team Menu6.2. ATTACKING INTERFACE

    The Attacking interface displays how the teams are attacking into the final 3rd. It further illustrates where the crosses in play comes from. On the right, you can also find two ranking tables listing the Top 3 players creating the most Chances and Crosses during play.

    Distribution Interface presents an overview of distribution statistics and two pitch maps to analyze direction of play of both teams. On the right, you can again find two tables ranking the Top 3 players completing the highest number of Passes and Successful passes during the game

    6. Team Menu6.4. FINISHING INTERFACE

    Finishing Interface presents a head to head table of finishing related statistics. Visuals include half-pitch maps to study shot origin of both teams within and outside the penalty box. On the right, you can also find two ranking tables listing the Top 3 players achieving the highest number of Shots and Shots on Target.

  • 7. Players MenuPlayers Menu is the dedicated interface to follow and study in detail both team’s individual player’s performances. Players Menu is based on the Box Score display

    7.1. BOX SCORE INTERFACE

    Similar to the Teams Menu, the Players Menu will display a detailed chart highlighting both teams players statistics for the main statistical categories;

    • Finishing • Discipline • Possession • Distribution • Regain • Fitness • Goalkeeper.

    Simply click on the desired category to find both team’s statistics (e.g. Distribution). You can then sort each column by clicking on the abbreviated name of the stat above the column. It is also possible to filter based on each team or combined using the toggle buttons in the top right corner.

    TIP: Explanation of each category abbreviation can be found by clicking (or hovering the mouse for desktop users) the specific abbreviation.

  • 8. Standings Menu8.1. Final Menu item is Standing, which will show the League standing of the competition you’re analyzing.

  • 9. Live Report Edition9.1. Live Monitor can generate a Live Report at any point in the game, compiling a visual and comprehensive PDF format main teams and player’s statistics. To generate and print this report, user will need to click on ‘Game Report’ button. A message box will then appear to propose which content you want in your report:

    • Tactical teams • Tactical players • Fitness teams • Fitness players
