Our prayers have been answered and we can ALL be together again.

In late November, Church Council communicated the approach we would be taking with our numerous gatherings acknowledging that they would continue to review these options and make changes as necessary.

With restrictions having been eased this week for places of worship, Church Council has made the decision that our in-person worship services will be returning to normal in a Covid-safe manner from this Sunday 19th December at both our Eaglehawk and Junortoun Campus locations. Moving forward, the following arrangements will apply to all our gatherings:

• Pre-registration or proof of vaccination are NOT required.• Face masks are NO longer compulsory, but we understand that some people

might choose to wear them for the benefit of others. If you have any signs or symptoms of a cold or flu, we ask that you not attend our services.

• Anyone attending one of our services must continue to check in.

We understand that such changes might be difficult for those people and their families who work on the front line of our medical professions, as well as the vulnerable or health compromised members in our community. In our efforts to be inclusive of all, we will continue to provide a worship service at our Junortoun Campus that caters for such people from this Sunday 19th December at 1 PM in our Function Room. We are committed to caring for all our people and providing opportunities to gather safely in worship. Please know that we will continue to provide online worship services, with livestream services that everyone can access if they so choose.

Our in-person services this weekend are as follows: • Eaglehawk Campus (9:30 AM & 11:30 AM) • Junortoun Campus (10:30 AM) • Junortoun Campus (1:00 PM – For front line medical workers, vulnerable or health

compromised individuals)NB: There are no children’s programs in our morning services until school starts and our evening services at Junortoun will not function for the remaining two weeks of December.

Last weekend we communicated that we would be holding several different Christmas services to accommodate the needs of a large church family. Changing restrictions now enable us to reduce the number of services on that weekend. We will be offering Christmas Eve (6:30 PM) & Christmas Day (9:00 AM) services at both our Eaglehawk and Junortoun Campus locations. Note: The Christmas Eve service will be livestreamed for those that choose to engage online. Our service on Sunday December 26th will be a livestream service only at 10:30 AM where I will be sharing with our church family.

As we move towards Christmas, Julie and I would like to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas. We are so grateful for our church family and feel incredibly privileged to serve in this place. We trust that you have a blessed Christmas with family and friends as you celebrate the gift of God’s son to us.

Blessings Pastor Dave Lovell

People Must Know“The Chosen” has a new episode! To launch the Christmas season this December, “The Chosen” has created a special episode about the birth of Christ through the eyes of Mary and Joseph. You’ll also see an extraordinary line-up of musicians perform both new and classic Christmas songs from the set of “The Chosen”, including: Phil Wickham, For King & Country, Brandon Lake, Maverick City Music, Cain, Matt Maher, Bryan & Katie Torwalt, Jordan Feliz, We The Kingdom, The Bonner Family, Leanna Crawford, Dawson Hollow, and One Voice Children’s Choir. This is an amazing opportunity to bring friends and family, including those who haven’t seen “The Chosen”, for a unique Christmas experience. Let’s praise and thank God for:

Ë Andy Lightfoot who has been able to make some good headway with language skills and also building relationships. Pray from him as he has some down time over the next couple of weeks.

Ë Stephanie McWilliam; for the couple of days rest and relaxation she was able to have before heading back to the lake, and for enduring the 25hr bus trip.

Ë

Let’s be praying for: Ë The reach and impact of the Chosen & Christmas Together as people gather with family

and friends this coming weekend. Ë The preparation and impact of Christmas Eve & Day services across three locations. Ë Josh, Steph and Family, as they make connections with community members, for

adjustment as they come into the wet season, isolation and heat. Also as they work on their language skills and build relationships.

Ë Ken Trewin who had surgery in Melbourne on Thursday; for complete healing. Ë The newly married couples in our church as they settle into married life together. Ë The worship and tech teams as they adjust to services restarting and a depleted

team due to vaccine mandates, especially Eaglehawk where there are very few people available to be involved. Please pray for God to raise up and bring in new team members.

Ë Chaplains in our local schools. There are several vacancies that need to be filled. Please be praying that God brings the right people into those roles.

Ë Donna Clarke and family as they grieve the loss of her father and as they prepare for the funeral.

PRAYER AND PRAISE

PRAYER - BENDIGO CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

Ë Continue to pray for the establishment of the culture and community of Bendigo Christian College.

Ë Pray that faith in Jesus Christ, love for God and for others will be the foundation of everything we do.

Do you collect Coles points making you eligible for free Masterchef knives? Do you have lots of points but don’t need knives? The Junortoun kitchen could use some new knives. If you are able, could you collect free knives for the kitchen? They can be left at the church office at Junortoun. Thanks.
