It is one thing to be living,

it is another to be alive.

Living

is breathing, subsisting, surviving.

Being Alive

is expecting, rejoicing, s a v o u r i n g , a n d celebrating life.

Living Alive

is living with a lusty thirst and passion for life.

it is giving with a purpose, a mission if you may, and a conscious desire to experience and drink of lifes goodness and pleasures.

is making every minute count.

it is living in the precious now.

is knowing that we do not have forever.

is being aware of the fact that we are all on the carousel of time, and that we must do everything in our power to fully enjoy and get the best from the ride.

Living Alive

is giving something back, sharing something of our essence, leaving s o m e t h i n g w h i c h w i l l b e remembered long after we are gone.

There is really only two ways of living alive - living dead or living alive. The latter is the easiest, most natural, and exhilarating exciting thing to do because in life:

THERE IS SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR.

Life-sustaining breath. Water, earth and fire. The sun, the moon, and the stars. The sky, clouds, birds, trees, flowers. The rain, dewdrops, rivers, lakes and seas. Plains, valley, hills, mountains, islands, continents. The song of the wild, the dance of the wind, the mystery of the deep, the secret of galaxies. A wish fulfilled, a prayer granted. People and rainbows.

Life on earth is in itself worthy of gratitude.

THERE IS SO MUCH TO LIVE FOR.

The promise of new dawn. The excitement of the day. The dark spell of night. The memories of yesterday, the puzzle of tomorrow. The vulnerability of a new born baby, the laughter of a child, the poems of lovers, and mothers lullabies. Fun pleasure, adventure, romance. Love and beauty. Fulfillment, joy, and happiness.

Love of family.

THERE IS SO MUCH TO TRY.

Action, thrills, spills. Skiing, speed racing, bungee jumping, deep sea diving. Sky diving, travelling on a hot air balloon. Tasting exotic food, exploring the Antarctic, conquering Everest, inventing a new machine. Whipping up a new recipe, going on a safari. Executing a cartwheel, doing a headstand. Painting, cooking, dancing. Reinventing yourself.

Exploring the wonders of nature.

THERE IS SO MUCH TO FEEL.

Wishing, wanting, needing, hoping. Sad, happy, good, better, wonderful, ecstatic. Infatuated, loving, hating, being in despair, falling in love again. Feeling lost, being found. Uncertain, afraid, confident, assured, successful. Feeling important, loved, needed. Waiting for the phone to ring, waiting for the doorbell to chime. Expecting, rejoicing. Proud, victorious, invincible.

THERE IS SO MUCH TO DARE.

To be different. To be silly, crazy, insane. To challenge the world on your own terms. To flirt, tempt, seduce. To be sooo bad. But good at it. To be gorgeous, tempestuous, devastating. To rescue someone in grave danger. To live in gay abandon. To bare your body. To free your soul. To lose all in the name of love. To gain it all back and more.

THERE IS SO MUCH TO ENJOY.

Long vacations, Paris, Disneyland, beer champagne, chapignon, foie gras, white chocolate with almonds. First class air travel (or business class at least), Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Limoges, Christolfe, Petrossian, Picasso, da Vinci, Michaelangelo, Reubens, Van Gogh, Manet, degas OKeefe, Warhol, Bach, Vivaldi, Debussy, Streisand, Whitney, Celine, Backstreet Boys. Antique markets, estate auctions, grand exhibitions. Museums, concerts, Broadway.

Intimate talks, singing in the rain, laughing at stupid jokes. Luscious pancakes, blueberry pecan pies, moms home cooking. Sensuous hot baths, deep-tissue massage, invigorating work, A bear hug, a wink, a yawn, a sneeze. Foreign films, steamy sex, and mountains of banana split.
