13% of population in 2010 was over 65By 2030 9 million Americans over 85 years old.Losing their independence and having to live in a skilled nursing facility is a huge fear of individuals of advanced stage, and those with disabilities.Assistive domotics can allow or prolong independence
Why is this a new issue?Care for the elderly and disabled used to be done by a stay-at-home individual but the change in economics requiring two income families has changed that.
Individuals want to remain at home but need help with life . . .
How do we help them stay indipendent?
