Sit back, put your feet up and indulge in a mug of this rich and delectable hot chocolate, infused with cinnamon.

Sit back, put your feet up and indulge in a mug of this rich and delectable hot chocolate,

Sp� ed Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

1.5L (6 cups) milk2 x 7cm cinnamon sticks, lightly crushed150g good-quality dark chocolate, fi nely chopped250ml (1 cup) thin creamSugar, to tasteGround cinnamon or cocoa, to dust

Method

Place the milk and cinnamon in a large saucepan and bring to a simmer over low heat. Simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Discard the cinnamon sticks. Add the chocolate and stir until they melt and mixture is smooth.

Using an electric beater whisk the cream in a bowl until soft peaks form.

Pour the hot chocolate among serving cups. Add sugar to taste.

Place a dollop of cream on each hot chocolate and dust with ground cinnamon or cocoa.

Serves 8
