PARTIES
Crawlers, Toddler’s and Two’s News
Ms. Fumiyo & Ms. Lori We have really been enjoying the
cooler weather during our playground time! Highlights from
last month were the visit from Station #24, playing in gooey
orange colored spaghetti noodles, decorating cookies with Ms.
Missy, Music with Mr. Don, painting our own pumpkin faces,
learning about farm animals and helping Adrith celebrate his
birthday. This month we will learn about the sights and smells
of Autumn. Our colors will be brown and yellow, we will re-
view both "circle" and "triangle" and our nursery rhyme will
be "Mary Had a Little Lamb". If you haven't already, please
remember to replace the extra clothing in your child's back-
pack with warmer clothes and provide a jacket or coat each
day as we will continue go outside every day.
Ms. Anu & Ms. Kate It is so hard to believe that October is
ending and November is starting. We are enjoying working
with your children every day. They are learning their letters of
the alphabet, numbers and shapes so quickly. They love to
sing songs in the classroom and during music each week. We
were all very excited when the fire department came with a
fire truck to Preschool. We were able to crawl into the truck
and check it out. Also sitting in the drivers seat was fun for
both Ms. Kate and the class. Henry's birthday celebration was
fun. In November we have four birthdays to celebrate, Sharvil,
Rena, Ms. Anu and Ms. Kate. The activity room fun with Ms.
Missy, has included her show us green stuff coming out of the
pumpkin, also decorating cookies and eating them.
Ms. Anna October has just passed by. Everyone seems to
be adjusting well. We have had some great «show and tell». This really encourages conversation at home and at school. Please continue to discuss the letter of the week and help your child pick out something to bring to school for «show and tell» in November. The kids made arts and crafts based on letters, numbers and colors that we learned. We decorat-ed pumpkin cookies - YUM! Also we did Miss Pumpkin and Mister Pumpkin together. The Firefighters came to our pre-school and all kids enjoyed listening to the teaching of how to be safe in a fire situation. Some students were very brave and explore the fire truck inside! We also have a lot of activi-ties like classic Stop-Drop-and-Roll in case of fire and practice staying low when there is smoke and we even made a fire trucks. Each week we will be doing an activities that corre-sponds with the letter of the week. We have a really busy November planned.
Terrific Three’s
Ms. Dena We had such a great time to make friends and
get to know your little ones. We had our Fire Truck visit and we all enjoyed it. Our October awareness for Breast cancer was so appreciated in wearing pink on Fridays. I was so hap-py to see most of you during our Halloween parade. We will sadly say goodbye to our friend Riaan who is moving to an-other state. Best of luck to JAPA’S family. We have a lot going on in November starting with celebrating Brooks Birthday to our cookie vote and our Thanksgiving feast for our school. HAPPY THANKSGIVING and I hope everyone will enjoy that holiday.
Ms. Trish- As we say Goodbye to October, the month was
full of pumpkins , fire safety, autumn and night creatures.
The Halloween parade was such a fun event. The children
looked great and had fun in their costumes!
In November we will learn about Thanksgiving, sharing and
things that we are thankful for. We will continue to do a lot
of fall activities and work on the letters O, Q, and G. The
numbers for this month are four and five.
We have another busy month ahead so please check your
child’s folder for artwork and important information. I
wouldn’t want anyone to miss anything.
Happy Birthday this month to Andy!!
Fantastic Four’s
Ms. Elsie Thank you for taking the time during pick-up to ask questions and look around the classroom and the hallway with your child to see your children’s creations. Creations of Math, Shapes, Letters, Tearing and Cutting Paper through their art. They get so excited when I allow them to hang their crea-tions on the wall. We enjoyed saying Cheese for our Fall Photos, seeing the Firemen and their Fire Truck, and most of all, we loved seeing you during our Parade. In November, we will be Voting for our favorite cookie and then we will wait for the polls to close to find out which cookie won, so we can celebrate by eating the winning cookie. YUMMY. We will also be Giving Thanks for our Family and Friends, and Celebrating the First Thanks Giving through our Thanksgiving Feast. Our curriculum book will be "The Little Red Hen" along with our Preschool Math and our Handwriting Without Tears Book, with more Nursery Rhymes and songs. We will also be baking bread for Science just like the Little Red Hen. Thank you all for the wonderful Blessings that all of you have bestowed upon me, by allowing me to be able to spend precious time with all of your children.
Ms.Donna What a busy and eventful October we’ve
had! Thanks to Autumn, we’ve enjoyed making applesauce and pumpkin butter. We also enjoyed a visit from our local firefight-ers. They do an excellent job teaching the children about fire safety. To develop literacy, we’ve been working on the students’ phonological awareness skills. They are beginning to understand how letters, sounds, and connecting sounds together produces words. I really try to focus on their understanding of the reading process by using wooden letters, songs, and rhymes. We “spell” many words associated with the themes we are learning. For math readiness, we’ve been learning why patterns are important, where we find them in nature or everyday life, and how to put them together. I must say the children were also very excited to put on their costumes and celebrate Halloween!
Ms. Lindsey-Happy Autumn I love this time of year !
We have a very busy and fun November coming up The activities and projects we do and the concepts we learn will revolve around our themes of Autumn and Thanksgiving! Our letters for the month will be O,Q and G. We are working on our fine motor skills daily and our hand -eye co ordination to help develop our writing skills. Please look out for our November calendar in your child’s back-pack.Happy Birthday to Keitaro! I wish you all a Happy Thanks-giving!
Ms. Indu– In October we sang "five little pumpkins" and the
firetruck song. We did pumpkin Alphabet matching activity and pumpkin seed counting. We had so much fun doing so many pumpkin science activities in the activity room.In November, we will do some tracing activities to practice the letters O, Q and G, like tracing over chalk letters with a wet paint brush and using salt trays . We will also learn the numbers 4 and 5 by counting feathers. For our science we will focus on hibernation. For social and emotional learning we will focus on gratitude and learn what we are thankful for in our life. Akito is turning "4". Happy Birth-day Akito! Wish you all a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
