Dear Brothers:

Well, 2021 is under way and several of us have received our first Covid-19 shot. Optimistically, we’re starting to plan for meeting in-person once again so we’ll be ready when the Senior Center opens.

Our year began with Livingston Township Manager Barry Lewis, Jr., swearing in the Old Guard’s officers and then graciously staying to let us in on current township activities. He also comfortably fielded a slew of very probing ques-tions.

Thanks to Jerry Davis, there have been several meetings of the ongoing General Events discussion group. Thanks, too, to Doctor Fred Friedman who has scheduled meetings of the Finance discussion group, starting in February. You’ll be welcome in these open discussions; no preparation or exper-tise is needed.

As speakers after our first two 2021 meetings, Brothers Frank Desmond and Steve Horowitz shared interesting and intriguing highlights of their colorful lives. Our third speak-er, Mr. Harris Rosenthal, explained legacy annuities as a means of sharing our wealth with our grandchildren.

I’m sure your Old Guard brothers would be interested in hearing about your personal exploits. Just contact Joel Kampf for a booking.

Sincerely,

Hy Fisher
