• Goal is to have full CalNet access to journals by October 2010
o Approx. 40,000 total on-line titles (40% scientific)
o LBL base (pre-pilot) 3,250 on-line titles

o American Statistics Association – 6 titles
o ASME (through AIP Scitation) – 18 titles
o CSIRO - 23 titles
o Institute of Physics – 80 titles
o SIAM – 15 titles
o University of Chicago Press – 43 titles
o Inclusion in Springer Open Access Pilot

• Started sending notifications to vendors
o CDL has 86 vendors to contact
o UCB has about 240 vendors to contact
o First priority are the scientific titles in our areas of interest
o Other titles lower priority as the opportunity arises

• Need a new methodology for identifying journal relevance or just track “scientific” titles?
