LLEWELLYN TREACHER PHOTOGRAPHS Accession no : DX320 Catalogue mark P DX320 Introduction Llewellyn Treacher (1859-1943) came from one of the leading families of Twyford in Berkshire, involved in building and market gardening. Among Llewellyn’s interests was geology, and he was elected a Fellow of the Geological Society in 1893. He was also an antiquarian and local historian researching the area around Twyford. This collection consists of around 900 negatives, taken from the 1890s to the 1930s, showing mainly Twyford and surrounding area, but also archaeological subjects from across England and Wales. Other records of Treacher’s can be found in the Berkshire Record Office. His collection of geological specimens is at the University of Reading, and some palaeoliths in the Pitt- Rivers Museum, Oxford. LLEWELLYN TREACHER PHOTOGRAPHS

Accession no : DX320 Catalogue mark P DX320 Introduction Llewellyn Treacher (1859-1943) came from one of the leading families of Twyford in Berkshire, involved in building and market gardening.
